DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY! The drs are garbage! My husband had triple bypass surgery he has severe sleep apnea he just came home from the hospital and his machine is ramped to high now that his heart has been fixed it’s causing to much air and is putting him in extreme pain after this surgery he has called the one call Dr over 6 times and they will not respond! They make it so the ramp can’t be adjusted manually it can only be done remote from this facility! This is an emergency situation and they will not respond. Def finding my husband a new place to go where the doctors care enough about the patients to return a call! Triple bypass is a serious surgery that impacts the lungs so he can not go to sleep because he keeps stopping breathing because he can’t use his machine. I’m def reporting this place to BBB and 100% these drs do NOT TAKE THE OATH SERIOUSLY!!!
NP Johnson was wonderful at my initial appointment discussing my condition and explaining why it was affecting my sleep. at the sleep study, Mike was my sleep technician, and he did an outstanding job explaining the process to me as I was going through the study. Facility seemed a little dated but was very clean and organized, beds were adjustable yet noisy when changing pressure (pump noise) but overall comfortable. When i went in for the follow-up Dr. Dhawan did a great job explaining to me the results and answering my questions. Overall experience was positive at both the Chesapeake and Va Beach locations.
If I could give less than one I would. I got nothing but the runaround from Dr. Dhawan and her nurse. Was told to provide a letter from my primary care physician in order to get a independent medicine opinion from Dr. Dhawan for a VA claim and once I provided the letter, she still wouldn’t write the Independent medical opinion simply because she was too lazy to do proper research. Do not give them your business. Save your money.
The facility is convenient and staff friendly. My complaint is that there is no wheelchair access. I arrived with my aunt in order for her to have breathing tests. I pushed her in her wheelchair while rolling her oxygen alongside. We get to the door and there is no button to help with doors. I stood there wondering how I was gonna push her with one hand, roll oxygen with another, and open two doors to get her through. It seems that this type facility sees many elderly patients that require oxygen and would be in similar conditions. Was a little confused.
Updating my review. The onsite director worked very hard to make things right. She contacted the practice manager and worked with a new specialist in the practice to help resolve our concerns. Hence the 4 stars on the practice - but 1 star on the initial Dr. Average rating of 3 therefore.. If you go there - do not see Dr Dhawan. My husband has gone to her for the past 8 months and she is always distracted and looks uninterested. They have you fill out a questionnaire and she doesn't even look at it. Patient has to explain things over and over because she is not listening. Worst medical experience with her. You ask her a question and she gives you two different answers....the first one often wrong, when you ask her again she recants. Biggest waste of money....as we pay out of pocket for these appointments. Would give it zero stars if we could.
