I left the OB/GYN department feeling utterly retraumatized and heartbroken. I went in seeking help for a deeply personal and sensitive health issue, but the nurse didn’t understand and treated me coldly, making me feel invisible and dismissed. The doctor seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with my situation, didn’t provide the form I came for, and simply referred me elsewhere. I left in tears, feeling unheard, humiliated, and more vulnerable than when I arrived. No one should have to leave a medical appointment feeling this way. Please, if you need care for a sensitive or trauma related issue, find a provider who is truly compassionate, informed, and able to handle these matters with care.
Horrible way finding to find the office you need. Couldn’t find my doctor and had to find a Cleveland Clinic doctor who could see me today cause UH couldn’t install legible signage.
I went there with an appointment for the eye doctor and when I got there I was told that I couldn't be seen! My whole schedule was planned around coming to the doctor visit and I wasn't even told that I couldn't be seen due to some discrepancies with my insurance until I got there! A waste of time, gas, and money...Someone should be held accountable!!!
used to go to university hospital years ago (was about 14, im 18 now) for regular checkups on my spine for scoliosis issues i used to have. was treated with the most disrespect from the doctors whenever asked about receiving surgery for my spine as i was in immense pain mentally and physically. was denied an operation every single time i went back for a checkup even though i had eventually reached the correct amount of curve degrees needed to perform the surgery. the doctors would tell me false information about the process of the surgery as i guess a way to scare me out of getting the surgery that i later found out were lies when i researched them through trustful sources. started physical therapy there as their suggestion to “stop my curve from getting worse”. later realized this was a complete scam for money as the physical therapists had me doing the treadmill for the majority of the appointments every time and no beneficial exercises were ever given to me. thankfully only a year or so later my parents were able to find a surgeon from the cleveland clinic who would operate on me, (plus had way more experience with the surgery than the doctor i had had at uh) had my surgery at 15 and everything went extremely well, i recovered from my surgery fairly quickly and have been doing great ever since. do not go here for medical or professional advice, you’ll simply waste your time.
Currently here for a colonoscopy procedure. The doctors have you taken prep not only the evening before but the morning of. No working women's restroom on the second floor where you wait for your procedure. Seriously!? They wouldn't let me in the back to use the restroom so I had to walk around to find a random doctor's office to use the restroom. What kind of hospital location is this?! Never again will I have anything done at this location.
