So far I've had good experiences with the sleep center. I recently did an in center sleep study. The rooms are quiet and clean. The bed was pretty comfy. They had fans in the room which for someone like me who needs a fan to sleep this was great. My tech (I can't remember her name, sweet southern gal) was so nice and friendly. She made the whole process easy and she explained everything to me very well. I slept pretty good considering. The wires were not uncomfortable and didn't really hinder me from sleep how I normally would. If I had to do it again I would come back here.

Total appointment from the time I got there till I left was 55 minutes. 40 minutes was spent waiting on the or waiting to be shown out. Got tired of waiting for someone to come get me I left. Guess I'll see about finding another sleep doctor.

I wish I could give Henry Ford Allegiance Sleep Health Center 0 stars after my last visit. My first few visits went well, and those that helped during my sleep testing were wonderful. However, after my last visit I will NEVER be returning, and hope others heed my warning. The woman I saw was disrespectful, unprofessional, did not seem knowledgeable, and even talked poorly about the doctor I had been seeing at this office before her. While I was there I did not feel that I was listened to, that my concerns were heard, and felt like I was practically pushed out of the room to leave. I was in the middle of a sentence, when she stood up and began walking out the door and told me she'd show me the way out. When I asked if her one suggestion didn't work (changing my meds, even though she admitted not knowing enough about them to advise), if I should return here or what my next step should be, and she said no need and to go back to my PCP. Why in the world would I go to my PCP about sleep issues, instead of a sleep specialist? Additionally, I was extremely upset that she wouldn't refill my prescription because it "wasn't for hypersomnia" only to later find out that that IS what it's prescribed for. Not only was she not well informed, but she made me feel like I was taking a dangerous and unrelated prescription. I left in tears and will not be returning.
