I believe in sleep study for children who have breathing issues however im finding this facility is more focused on making false assumptions and forcing equipment on families costing so much money. Not only to the families also the insurance companies. One of the Dr's in this group Aathi P Vamana and a nurse practitioner Mary Montaque not only was very rude and their accusations were a complete LIE both should loose their jobs. If your child needs a sleep study go to Childrens Hospital!!! My grand daughter went there and they are wonderful and honest!!!
the staff at the actual place were nice I cannot complain on them however, it is the medical team that is an issue. They will use fear and push studies/procedures on you (I feel for the money) and then make their recommendations and turn them into requirements and if you do not agree with them and request alternatives and other opinions, they will report you. I was feared into having a study done on my 40 day old newborn who was also born early in which he fought the entire night and was upset and trying to get to the wires that were attached from top to bottom all night. I barely had minutes to where he didn't cry, it was constant where the tech constantly came in reapplying all the wires with more and more tape and adhesive. To which my baby has severe reactions to the adhesive. Long story short, they do not accommodate infants or make it a natural environment to get an accurate result. then later being told by other medical professionals that it is not common due to the inaccuracy of sleep studies being done on very young babies.
Terrible experience trying to make an appointment. Disorganized, unreliable and inconsistent messaging on policy and rules, and many follow ups to attempt a simple operation to go through (spoiler: no resolution). Will be going elsewhere.
Worst nightmare! My child who is 4 years old came in and he was already scared of what they were going to do. They hooked him up to a blood pressure cuff for the first time and it hurt so he was then very scared! Then the lady who took us into the room was NOT good with children started explaining all the stuff she was going to do by hooking him up with wires and something up his nose. My child lost it. We kept asking for a minute to gather ourselves but she kept coming into the room and would not STOP talking! needless to say we had to leave without a sleep study and had to drive an hour and half home ....never again!
My brother has been coming here for years and has never had a problem. They recently changed companies and today we were required to fill out updated patient forms. My mother only speaks Spanish and required assistance filling out the forms. When my mother asked for help, the lady at the front desk, named Elaine, refused to help in any way. She continued to say that it was not company policy. Previously, the front office staff was very helpful and accommodating. My mother then called me to ask for help. Once the lady heard that an English-speaking person was on the phone, she then proceeded to read and translate the required forms. I do not understand why she couldn't have done that from the beginning. If they are not allowed to help fill out forms then they should notify patients that forms need to be filled out PRIOR to the appointment. The doctors are amazing and incredibly friendly and they are the reason why we loved this office. But they should consider retraining front office staff on how to assist patients, ESPECIALLY those that are non-English speakers.
