My dr was requesting I get a sleep study done. I called my insurance company ahead of scheduling the appointment 3 times to make sure I was being given the correct information. I was advised that I do not need a referral or a prior authorization. I work in health insurance also so I checked the portal myself and also read that I do not need a referral or authorization. I finally called to schedule an appointment. They asked if I had a referral. I said no, that my insurance does not need a referral or an authorization, however, I do have a Dr requesting I get the sleep study so I could get one easily. They said “we will need a referral and documentation so we are able to obtain an authorization” I said “ok but I don’t need an authorization”…they got instant attitude and asked for my insurance information and said I would get a call back once insurance is reviewed. Never got a call back. I called them back a week later and it was as if I had never called in the first place. No record of me on file whatsoever. Gave them my insurance again and was supposed to get a call back to schedule an appointment. Another week has passed and no call back. I give up and I will seek out care elsewhere. Horrible customer service.
They use a gel for the electrodes, instead of the cap. They didn't have any paper towels to clean it off. The gel is very chemical tasting and hurts if the water gets into eyes. The room was strong of Lysol. We have trouble detoxing and with our microbiome, so this was an upsetting experience since we now have to work through extra detox and the antibacterial in our lungs. They also changed my appointment time back an hour without notifying me until I showed up for the appointment.
I brought my son here on Friday 9/19/2025 at 9 pm. The staff were amazing, very nice and patient. The technician who watched over my son was super nice. We really enjoyed our time here because our technician has a great personality. Customer service really does matter and this is why our experience went so well. I hope the manager sees this. We stayed in room 2. Please provide recognition to the tech who assist us . Thank you,
We were referred to Academy Diagnostic by our daughter's doctor, and although it took a little time to get the initial appointment, things moved quickly once her information was submitted. The staff was very accommodating with our schedule and even added our daughter to a waitlist for an earlier slot, which we really appreciated. When we arrived at the office, everyone was welcoming and kind. Our technician, Eden, was especially wonderful; she was patient, professional, and extremely understanding with our daughter, who needed to use the restroom multiple times before finally settling in and falling asleep. Eden made what could have been a stressful experience smooth and comforting, and we’re very grateful for her help. Thank you to the entire team for making this experience a positive one for our family!
My daughter was referred here for a sleepy study for sleep apnea. My daughter is 2 years old and I was concerned because of previous reviews… when we arrived we had to ring the doorbell to get inside, we were greeted by a female who checked us in and told us our tech would be right there to get us. We were with Joey the technician, Joey was amazing. He made sure to talk us through everything, let us know the rules kindly and was so gentle with my daughter, whom did amazing because of him! I truly believe if we didn’t have Joey has our tech my daughter wouldn’t have been so calm, he is PHENOMENAL. I really do recommend this clinic for any testing needed. The rooms were nice and cool, with a fan. The beds were firm but comfortable… the restrooms were clean, there is no showers here FYI but that was not an issue for us since we showered prior and left at 5 am. My daughter fell asleep and so did I, it was so peaceful and quiet. I have no complaints at all. Thank you so much Joey for your kindness.. my daughter even put her little sticky’s on me and was using a wipe to wipe them off me just like he did to her! 10/10
