The worst place, I do not recommend. Unfortunately, I spent a lot of my time on the phone with this office that I don’t want to waste any extra time describing what I went through, but felt deeply compelled to alert others, who still has a chance to search for a good, reputable place, and avoid headaches and regrets. Good luck on your search!

My husband has been waiting on his results for a month from this practice. We are calling daily & we continue to get the run around. For the past 3 weeks “someone would be in touch by Wednesday” I am considering lodging a complaint with the state. I think this practice is a fraud. They take your money, bill your insurance, provide ZERO care & there is NO FOLLOW-UP. I will be telling the referring doctor to stop sending patients here. They’re absolutely horrible.

I've visited 3 times. I consulted with Dr. Keya, who was fine and friendly. My first PSG was to confirm/exclude sleep apnea. The overnight tech was rude and condescending, constantly stating "I've been doing this job for over 25 years" which is only nice to hear when I'm being treated well. Otherwise, I'm just a client and this is just a job. When I was called back for my results, which were negative for OSA, I was informed of several potentially deadly oxygen drops, so they were getting me approved for Narcolepsy testing. I didn't get to review the charts for myself until after my second visit, and those drops looked like my nose gear rolled out for a few seconds. On my second visit for PSG/MSLT, the sleep tech was much nicer, but had admitted to being very new. I was woken up several times via FLASHLIGHT DIRECTLY IN THE FACE. I screamed every time. You'd think that after the first two times screaming, maybe that would be your signal to do something else to wake me up... but this happened a few more times. Now, this is my biggest grievance. I take Adderall. That is something that is known to keep you awake. Being kept awake is something that can produce a false negative on an MSLT. I specifically asked if I should skip it if I don't anticipate side effects. I was told, by the person that was introduced as the lead tech, to take ALL medications as prescribed. Against my intuition, I did that. My results came back negative. I've been advised by my peers to ask about re-testing. The second study took over a month for my insurance to approve, and the whole thing took a whole day of my life including travel. Meanwhile, my nightmares are getting worse and I'm incapable of functioning if I try to sleep in a single 8-hour block. I'm very skeptical if this office is equipped to DX or treat anything other than OSA.

American Sleep Medicine in Rockville was great! The staff was super friendly, especially Lauren at the front desk. Very professional and knowledgeable, I will be continuing service with them for as long as I can.

I can tell you that the Germantown location is really beautiful waiting area is well done the decor in the back there’s bedrooms for when you have to do your overnight sleep study they are all beautiful the reception area. It’s like they’re on auto tune with one in that copayment, even if you do have a secondary insurance, is just part of their nature to ask. does the doctor does a thorough examination and then he send you into the exam room of I forgot what the title of the lady is that does another kind of examination on your legs. But through the experience we talked and laughed and it was a semi- comforting experience because of that. after that you get the device and it’s like two devices and one one is for one day the others for the next two days and it just pretty much record what your mind ,your sleep etc. goes through and then you bring it in on the day that they tell you to bring it in if you don’t, they try to charge you for not bringing it back. if and when you do have to go to the sleep, study itself, the rooms are just so nice and even I got a room with the bathroom. There’s no shower in the bathroom so when you finish the sleep study you go home but they usually come in about 4:30 in the morning. So pretty much I figured I would need the CPAP machine. This was the frustrating part of everything I had to go to the Rockville location and I’m thinking OK I’m going to get my CPAP machine anything else you could’ve told me over Zoom They said I owe $1300, I said oh no my insurance says they paid it I called my HR is in my insurance policy and even if it wasn’t my secondary insurance would’ve paid for it. But according to them, it was a guess medical billing didn’t put in the information yet, so I couldn’t get my equipment I went to two appointment where it was like that the second appointment the doctor actually talk to me other than saying you owe $1300 & smoothed the situation down which I really appreciate that, I still left empty-handed but after you get a text or email to do a face scan so the text that I received was to tell me that I was getting my machine but after I do the face scan and I’ll probably probably be getting it in the mail. So I receive the text/ email to do a face scan so that they can measure my face. but all in all it was a great experience at the Germantown/Rockville locations I would recommend Sleep Services of Maryland office and staff for doing an excellent job
