I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, because I know that so many factors play a role in a patient’s experience and it can take one employee having a bad day to wreck the entire experience, but every person I encountered on my visit over this past weekend was kind, professional, patient, and made me feel like a person. I’ve had experiences for different reasons at several other Emergency Rooms and my experience there, from the ER all the way through my days as an inpatient with the nurses (unfortunately I don’t remember all of their names, but I believe two of my most frequent nurses were Deborah and Alex) and their compassion, competence, and professionalism made a horrible experience so much more tolerable. The woman at the registration desk was very kind and apologetic (though she didn’t need to be, I understand how it all works) when she was running around trying to do 10 things at once and get me checked in at the same time. The nurse I had in the ER who was very good with IV’s and understood that having the IV in my antecubital area was extremely uncomfortable expertly started the IV in my forearm and I didn’t even feel it for the entire duration of my stay. Sheena, a supervisor in the department I was there to be treated for, went out of her way on her way home from another place to come talk to me and advocate for me. The doctors were responsive and attended to my needs as well. The food was very good and the people on the phone when I ordered and the ones who brought it up were kind, patient, and prompt, as well. Overall, I can say that if I ever need to go to an emergency room or hospital again, I will 100% be going to Shiloh Memorial.

The nurses and staff that took care of my sister, Vickii Flaxbeard, in room 505, were just fantastic! She was on hospice care and they treated her and our family with the utmost compassion and respect! They made the whole experience much easier than it could have been! I will never forget them. Thank you so very much Jim (Drip Master)

I just had my first baby here and I cannot say enough amazing this about the labor and delivery department. I was scheduled for an elective induction, and while nothing went as "planned" (not due to the fault of anyone) they made the entire process feel safe, welcoming, and like both me and my baby were top priority. Special shout outs to my nursing team Brandy, Bre, Steph, Devon, and my "5 star nurse" - Hannah, for helping the entire way. Also Michelle the lactation nurse was a godsend 💜 Dr. Kelsey guided me theough each step of our induction with such care and kindness, then performed our c-section quickly and carefully when the time came. I would hands down recommend this team to anyone looking for an OB to deliver with.

I simply can not brag enough about the care I received here. I had a surgery with Dr. Boyd (an angel for sure), nursing staff and anesthesiologist was amazing as well. But the charge nurse Cheri in surgery was exceptional. I had mentioned I loved the prepackaged brownie bites they have at BJC facilities, and even with her mobile ringing off the hook (which tells me her peers respect her opinion and knowledge, which meant I could too) she made the time to go to the cafeteria so I had some post surgery. It’s things like that, that push patient care beyond great to excellent. Not just that, her and all the other nurses laughed with my family and I in pre-op, didn’t rush anything and made what was an anxious situation for me much more comfortable. Dr.Boyd and the surgery team at Memorial hospital Shiloh is amazing and I’d choose to have future procedures here time and time again!

My wife and I just had our first child at Memorial in Shiloh. The labor department was first class. We had a lovely room and which we didn’t need to move throughout the entire process! They made us feel extremely comfortable being first time parents! I would highly recommend this labor and delivery department. They made the best time of our life that much more enjoyable! We want to give a special shout out and thanks to our nurses, our midwife, and our lactation consultant, as well as the rest of the staff that checked on us almost every 15-30 minutes. Highly recommend!
