The ER staff don’t care about people. Nurse A_b_y ( fill in the blank) and the Er doctor assigned 12/19/25 night shift did not take my daughter in law situation serious. Cracklers in tha hall way outside of patients room the staff do not care about patients. This hospital is not a place for healing. Follow the care plan…We’re did you get your License? Conduct your self as a professional.
I can't say enough good about this institution and the personnel. I had routine surgery and in recovery I unexpectedly started to hemorrhage. Within minutes, 15 people from multiple departments were at my bedside, in a coordinated effort to save me from bleeding out. An emergency surgery subsequently saved my life. The staff in ICU afterwards were terrific. Im forever grateful to SSM and their personnel for saving my life.
I had two eye surgeries at SSM Janesville in October 2025. I also had a number of pre-and post-surgery exams. It wasn't easy to see clearly to get around. This review is for all the people who were quickly and cheerily ready to assist me in getting around safely. From all the staff, to all the volunteers, and a special note for the security people who were very helpful. Your assistance was greatly appreciated!!!!!
I was sent to SSM from the Janesville VA to get an X-ray done on my lower back. I am in the middle of my disability claim and an X-ray is absolutely required in order to proceed. I saw Dr Shin MD on Thursday the 30h of October. This man simply refused to treat me. He did not care what the VA required for my disability claim. He said to me “ you are young and in time you should be okay”. I felt totally helpless and not cared for. I believe this doctor treated me this way because he knew that I would not have to make a payment because I am a veteran. I do not recommend going to this hospital for VA care. The doctor treated me like I was a fool. They do not offer the same help to veterans. Instead go to Mercy.
I was having some breathing issues along with my heart. After reviewing the hospitals in the area I decided St Marys Hospital in Janesville was best to serve my needs. I am not from the area. During my overnight stay I was treated with the upmost compassion. All staff took the time to explain everything about my care. I would not hesitate returning if need be.
