SSM Health Monroe Clinic Hospital

I went into labor unexpectedly at 36 weeks and I ended up having to get an emergency c-section which was scary for my husband and I. Every single person we came into contact at Family Birth with was truly amazing and comforting. Dr Burks was a blessing and I can’t imagine going through the labor I did with a different group of staff surrounding me. These individuals truly care about mom, baby, and the person/people you bring with.

everything was fantastic and professional your staff your doctors your nurses and CNAs the facility was clean it's just it was a great experience I've been there several times now in the last couple months for problems with my heart stuff but as I would have wanted to say is that there can be some tweaks to your menu for what's available for people like myself that was on a low carb low sodium diet when I was there the last time and I wasn't able to get very much to eat that would fit within the realms of what I was allowed so that was the down Downer of it all but everything else is positive positive

I am extremely grateful for the care I received at Monroe SSM hospital. I went in on a Sunday night and the staff were all very kind responsive to my pain and questions. I had to be admitted and was diagnosed very quickly. The doctor understood the urgency and scheduled me for surgery the next day. The nurses and all the staff were very kind and helpful. Not that I would want to go back, but if I had to I would not hesitate to trust Monroe SSM hospital to provide the best care for me.

Recently visited the Monroe Hospital ER and had a wonderful experience. I didn’t have to wait long at all, granted the waiting room was empty. The staff was so very kind. I was visibly upset as the emergency was pregnancy related, and everyone from the ER receptionist to the nurse and doctor were so calm and comforting. My nurse, Carol, took very good care of me and was very attentive. Dr. Mark Hovland was my physician and I couldn’t have asked for a better provider. He came to our room very quickly after the nurse finished with her initial assessment and did the ultrasound right away. He explained everything very clearly and made sure we didn’t have any questions. They ran all the tests so quickly and kept me very comfortable. Luckily everything came out good, and we were out in under 3 hours. The room was very clean and comfortable even for my husband who was with me. If I ever need to make a trip to the ER again, I will definitely be going here.

I was at the ER. Thought i was having a stroke. Staff were very nice and calmed me down. Explained everything they were going to do HOWEVER...business office for billing is a nightmare. They billed as a regular visit to the clinic. What part of ER don't they get? Now my insurance company is trying to get it changed. I'll never go to this hospital again!!
