Second time had the same rude nurse. Older lady with short hair. The younger girls that work were always super sweet. But the older lady is the second time I had her and she was very rough and rude to me when I came in for an injury shoulder. I told her why is she being so rude and I swear to god she looked me in the face and said “no you’re rude!” You can even hear her in the halls talking about her other patients, which pretty sure that’s a violation. The doctors were nice and did bring up my concern with them. I just don’t understand why work in a hospital trying to help people when you clearly don’t care. Just sad I had to go to a Henry Ford the next day and turns out I had a fractured shoulder. Just won’t be returning there again.

Our experience at McLaren Macomb Hospital was truly exceptional. We brought our daughter in after being seen at another NON-McLaren facility where the care was EXTREMELY slow and the diagnostic imaging was not thorough. We left there still without answers and extremely frustrated. The moment we arrived at McLaren, everything changed. The staff was fast, efficient, and compassionate from start to finish. We want to give a special shout-out to Dr. Doerr and nurse Tracey, who went above and beyond to make sure our daughter was cared for, comfortable, and properly diagnosed. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine concern made all the difference during a stressful time for our family. The facility was also extremely clean and well-organized, which gave us even more confidence in the care she received. McLaren was able to diagnose her quickly and accurately, and we cannot express enough gratitude for the level of service provided. Thank you to Dr. Doerr, nurse Tracey, and the entire McLaren Macomb team — you turned a difficult experience into a positive one, and we highly recommend this hospital to anyone seeking exceptional care.

Keep in mind this is no reflection of my doctor and his care as he was beyond great and wonderful. Still is. I had surgery 3 weeks ago, my respiratory rates kept dropping and they had me on a monitor. It would beep and no one would come. I would Press my call light and nothing, to the point I got up myself and walked to the nurses station on the general surgery floor while they sat there on their computers listening to the beeping of my call light. It was terrifying the lack of care. I will Never have a procedure there again.

Recently had my C-section here for my first baby. Can't say enough good things about the entire team. Even though I was extremely nervous, they managed to keep me calm and went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible in every scenario. They were all so kind and informative. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. Very happy that this is where I chose to have my daughter and highly recommend to anyone. Thank you for taking care of us! ❤️

A family member was taken by ambulance there. Had heard horrible things about this hospital. I was very worried. The level of care was short of amazing. Every registrar, nurse, and above all the ER Doctor were incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable and willing to listen and explain what was going on. The ER room is spotless and extremely busy. That doesn’t stop anyone working there from giving it their all around the clock. I am so impressed at the care this hospital is giving 24/7 that 5 stars isn’t enough. If you have a real emergency, pray that’s where they take you.
