Hardest Dr. appointment I’ve ever tried to make in my life. My Dr gave me a referral to Medstar Health sleep center in Glen Burnie. Great. So i called to schedule an appointment. They wouldn’t schedule appointment because they said they needed my medical records. Ok. So I contacted my Dr and they sent it over. Called back to schedule an appointment. Now they said they need my referral. I was like I can email that right over to you. They said well it has to come from your Dr and it needs a note 🤦🏻♂️. They would rather me die than get an appointment. Screw this place I’m taking my business elsewhere. I recommend you do too.
It is now 1:24am and I am still trying to recover from my horrible experience at this facility tonight! Only 1 staff members for 3 patients. Was taken to my room and was then told to wait til she was done with a lady that had arrived after me. I had to fill out 2 packets of 5+ pages of forms. Then, was told I'd be sharing a bathroom with a gentleman in the next room. What? A strange man and my door didn't lock on my side of the room. Nope!! Next, went to turn the fan on and ended up having to clean it because it was beyond gross dirty. While doing that I found a crushed dorito in the carpet. Cleaned that up. Arrived at 830.,wasn't put into bed til 11pm. The folding chair was a wonderful experience to sit on for an hour while everything was attached. Legs and butt went numb.painful. And finally... the bed!!! The bed was harder than the floor. My back went out after trying to get comfortable. Which never happened. I had had it by now. Asked to leave wasn't treated very nice. Wanted me to sit there and wait for God knowing how long to remove everything. I removed it all myself. I'm extremely triggered at this point. And need to leave immediately. When i arrived home. My daughter said I smelled like a stale bar!! I took pictures and it should all be on camera. Really sad how this place is run!!!
Positive experience. Professional and kind staff. My sleep technician explained what the experience would be like. He answered my questions and concerns. He made me feel comfortable. The center/rooms/beds are clean.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit. I arrived at 8:30 PM and was placed in a room by 8:45 PM. My technician, Niru, informed me that I needed to remove my gel polish as it interfered with the pulse meter. She returned two minutes later with nail polish remover but did not return until 9:30 PM. When she saw I was struggling to remove the polish, she seemed irritated and remarked that typically a reading cannot be obtained with nail polish on. She then told me that if she couldn't get a reading, I would need to leave. I disagreed, stating that it should still work, but she left again, each time leaving the door wide open. At 9:47 PM, I stepped out into the hallway to ask Niru how much longer the process would take. She told me to wait 10 more minutes and returned around 10:00 PM to set up. At that time, she asked me to remove my wig. I requested that she close the door for privacy, and she responded that it couldn’t be closed due to there being only two technicians. This explanation seemed odd to me, as I had already observed other patients being escorted to rooms where the doors were closed. Niru's refusal to close the door and her insistence that I sit directly in front of the open door made me feel like she was intentionally withholding privacy. I found this behavior uncomfortable and disrespectful, especially given that other patients were granted privacy. This situation felt discriminatory, and I would appreciate it if this matter were addressed. At 5:10 AM, a gentleman came to assist me, closing the door and explaining each step of the process with excellent bedside manners. His professionalism was a stark contrast to my experience with Niru. Additionally, I asked if I could shower before leaving due to the glue left behind, but I was told no because there were no towels available. I had brought my own, lol. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I would rate it a 2/10. I will not be returning. I’m actually going to speak to a lawyer because I believe i was discriminated against by Niru since walking in the clinic. I was really excited about this appt and was tremendously let down by the lack of professional by Niru (name may be misspelled)
Horrible experience. We scheduled our study as required by my wife’s doctor as part of the 3 year journey we’ve been on trying to figure out how to address her health issues. We called 3-4 times leading up to the appointment to confirm the details and specifically to confirm the schedule and insurance approval so we don't arrive and have to turn back around. All of this only to drive 1 hour to the study where I drop my wife off, head home, and 20 mins after getting home I get a call telling me that they screwed up the scheduling and I need to pick my wife back up and reschedule for another day. How unprofessional and incompetent can a medical office be?! These things take a lot of planning and effort from everyone involved, and a lot of physical exhaustion on my wife’s part. Stay away.
