I am still at a loss for words on how i was treated by that sleep "doctor" he judged me on my looks - my tattoos & im sure he LOVED -my facial piercings - he was an old white man who bullies anyone who isnt another white male. He didnt want to hear my words. I've tried 7 different types of masks / mouth pieces & nothing helps. The masks are too big & had to be STAPPED to my head so tight the top of my nose started rub raw & bleed. The air makes my mouth so dry i have to take it all off just to have a sip of water & its impossible to go back to sleep with that suffocating my face. I was there for help & He didnt want to listen or hear me. Never will I be back.

I went to get a sleep study, old Dr. Zoen says I did need which turns out that I did it's required by insurance companies, they didn't even check, Iowa CPAP recommended this place. I wouldn't trust any of them. They are just out to bill your insurance company and not to help you. wasted time and money.

In December i took one of the iowa sleep at home studies home and did everything according to the booklet. I took it back the next day only to receive a phone call 2 weeks later saying that the machine was faulty and did not get any data. I had already paid my bill for the test and Liz at IA sleep said if I wanted to do another one i could. I asked her if it would cost anymore money since i had already pd. She said no the machine was faulty and if i wanted to do a retest it would cost me nothing. I retook the test in early February. Then comes the bill 3xs the amount i had already pd. When i call the explanation i get is they re-billed it in feb which is a new year and new deductible for the year. I had already paid my bill for the using faulty equipment and was again told i would not owe anything because of this..IA sleep is full of liars looking for a money grab. Everyone got theirs here and im let paying 3xs more after being lied too. Go ANYWHERE else..

Worst medical facility ever. Waited 5 weeks after initial consult for insurance approval only to call and find out they forgot to send for insurance approval. Finally got insurance approval for test and had testing. The order for medical equipment was supposed to be sent to the medical supply store for insurance approval. Called the medical supply store today to find out status of insurance approval since I’ve been waiting almost four weeks only to find out that the Sleep Center never sent the order! Tried calling the Sleep Center but could only leave voice mails. Now I’ll have to wait again another 2-3 weeks for insurance approval, assuming they have someone competent enough to send in the prescription for the equipment and assuming someone at the Sleep Center gets my messages. What a clown show.
