My review is in the photos attached as it was too many characters, so I had to type in my notes and screenshot my words. Edit to add: She also asked "did you have your kids c-section or vaginal" my husband answered "naturally" she responds with "Oh you can walk then" as I'm trying to lift off the bed for the first time to sit up to leave. Like what does that have to do with the pain that I am currently in, why does that make you feel like I don't need help to walk after a surgery. Edit: Laparoscopy procedure with resection of endometriosis tissues

I’ve gone there and my daughter has gone there, and nothing was done to help us in anyway. My daughter went for abdominal pain and they chalked it up to cramps and she ended up having her gallbladder removed about two weeks later. I went for chest pains, and I left with no answers and no medications to bring my blood pressure down. They just tell you to see your primary care doctor even though you have no insurance and you’ve told them that will not be happening. It was literally a waste of about $5000. I would’ve been happier flushing that money down the toilet than giving it to this hospital.

I’ll never go back to this ER or allow any of my loved ones if I have a choice. Such a disappointing and frustrating experience. My loved one was brought in after a fall, and it took over three hours just to leave the waiting room, then another two hours to run two basic tests that confirmed they would need to be admitted. From there, it took 18 hours to finally get into a room upstairs. The nurses were rude, rough, and seemed completely disinterested in helping. Any simple question felt like an inconvenience — most were met with “I’ll check,” and 90% of the time, no one ever came back with an answer. I didn’t even feel comfortable making a formal complaint because I was afraid my loved one would be ignored once I left. It’s truly a shame how far this facility has declined. I can’t imagine it lasting much longer if this is how patients and families are treated

A Heartfelt Thanks for Exceptional Care Words aren’t enough to express my sincere gratitude for the care I received during my recent HSG procedure. From start to finish, the entire team went above and beyond to make me feel supported and at ease. Tammy in Radiology Scheduling was 100% helpful from the very beginning and continues to be a resource, even assisting me in getting connected to the patient portal. Karin, the radiology technician, was incredible—she eased my anxieties even before I arrived, reassuring me she would be with me every step of the way, and she truly was. Corey Christensen, PA-C, was equally amazing. His kind demeanor, gentle approach, and professionalism made the procedure far less painful/ intimidating. This entire team, including the others in the room, took my fears and laid them to rest, and for that, I am truly grateful. Thank you for treating me not just as a patient, but as a person. Sincerely, Ashley G.

I’m editing my review because I had surgery here a couple days ago and my surgery experience was leaps and bounds better than when I stayed in April. The pre admissions person who called me was extremely polite and understanding when I asked her to slow down. Virginia was really helpful and did everything she could to help me, including making sure I got a booklet I had asked for. When I got to the hospital, check in was much faster and streamlined than in the past when my wife had endoscopy procedures here. The nurse I got when I went back, Denise, was so incredible! She turned down the lights and helped me with my anxiety and questions. This experience was the best I’ve ever had out of 5 surgeries at other hospitals. Virginia, Denise, Dr Gothals, the anesthesiology team, and rest of those people who helped are the reason I’m giving Ascension 4 stars now. If you are going to the ER and possibly staying, please read the following part. Thank you for reading. I gave 2 stars only for the excellent Drs in the main hospital and the few staff members that were very helpful to me during my stay. When I arrived at the emergency department, I only had a half hour wait to go back to be seen by a Dr. There didn’t seem to be a lot of patients but it still took over 7 hours for my total time from arriving, being seen and a half hour to get a room in the main hospital. I had a young Dr in the ED who did not take a culture of my infection; which upset my infectious disease Dr. and me. He didn’t have a very good bedside manner but the nurse really helped me with my worries and anxiety while in the ED. My first night in the main hospital I had a migraine which led to nausea because I hadn’t had my prescription medications for over 18 hours. They refused to give me my medications until they could get a hold of the Dr I was assigned. From 1 am to 8 am, I was told he wasn’t responding to hospital pages. When he did arrive at the hospital he had to do something in the computer before I could get my much needed daily medications. He now couldn’t login to the computer for several more hours. This was very frightening to me and my nurse at the time. I didn’t receive all my prescription medications even after giving them to the staff member in the ED. They were not life threatening medications, but that was still unacceptable. The flow of information through the computers and the staff is abysmal. Both my Drs in the main hospital were excellent. A few of the nurses were also amazing. Quiet time at night was not a priority to staff as I was awakened many times in the night by staff laughing and talking extremely loud. No one was asked to stop making noise at resting hours. When I pushed the call button in my room, I was often greeted by staff other than the nurses assigned to me. Often the person who responded greeted me with a rude tone. Twice my nurse was never made aware I needed something and when my IV was finished. This made my anxiety far worse and often frightened to be in their care. One of my Drs said he put a prescription into the pharmacy for me, but I never received it until a day later. The pharmacy didn’t do it’s job properly for me on several occasions. The nurse I had on my departure day was very rude. She went to inspect at my wound, which happened to be close to my private area, without shutting the hospital room door. I was extremely uncomfortable, but a student nurse I had seen earlier noticed and shut the room door quickly without me having to ask. The same nurse was dismissive of some of my concerns about prescribed medications from 1 of my Drs while in the hospital, when I was being discharged. Extremely unprofessional. This hospital has drastically declined in the past several years since my last stay. Nurses and staff should take more care and be respectful for the lives they are caring for.
