Staff and doctors were all very nice.
If I could leave negative stars, I would. I recently saw a doctor here, and it was the worst experience of my entire life that i've ever had with any doctor. I left the office feeling like that doctor thought my life was worthless. It was a legitimately traumatizing experience. I've had a lot of mysterious medical issues and symptoms for the last seven or eight years.A lot of it seems to be related to the feeling of not getting enough oxygen to my organs. When somebody can't get enough oxygen, their brain wants them to get more oxygen. So they think they need to breathe better, right? So I assume there's something wrong with my lungs. In fact, there was something wrong with my lungs. However my functioning came better than normal. He did tell me that there was an old infection and I had calcification in both lungs, along with a nodule on the left side. However, the nodule was too small to biopsy. I would also like to point out that the body can be liking oxygen, regardless of how well the lungs are functioning. He came in the room and asked me what was going on.And I can't talk about it without crying because it's been pretty awful. So I'd written down the whole seven or eight years. The entire story from the very beginning, which is filled with a lot of traumatic and emotionally tender memories. He started to read it. Stopped got asked if you could copy it, i said yes, because at this point he wasn't being rude yet. He never read it. He proceeded to ask me questions that were inappropriate and not related to my lung function at all. I take suboxonw and have been taking it for ten years, yes I was an addict. There's a lot of people that were addicts at that point in time. I've been clean for ten years. He questioned why I took it. He asked me what drug I used to do. He has when the last time I used was. I also have scars from when I was eleven.Because I cut myself. Literally, when I was eleven and the scars just never faded. I wasn't wearing long sleeves. He started to question my psychological health. You asked me if I was seeing a psychiatrist. What my psychological diagnosis were. I told him and he said, " you're not bipolar?" And I said no because i'm not. He proceeded to ask me if I felt like my depression was under control. He's doing all of this in a very crappy tone of voice. He doesn't sound concerned. His voice was judgmental. I was upset. I'm lost a lot of over the years because of these medical issues and people I love her showing the same symptoms. I told him that. He just looked at me like I was more crazy. I was crying because, of course i'm upset. Anybody that's been sick for 7 or eight years and is watching their loved ones get sick and is being told that they are crazy is going to be upset. Especially when there's evidence that proves that something abnormal is going on inside of my body. Honestly he should be ashamed of himself. Anyone who can't put aside their personal judgments of people in recovery, either substance abuse or mental health recovery, should not ever be allowed to practice medicine. Period.
Doctors and staff are kind, caring and willing to be helpful, all while keeping a professional demeanor. I would recommend any of the doctors in the practice. Thank you.
My family doctor sent me here to investigate a health issue I was having. Dr. Berrou explained in detail what testing he would do. In the end we found our answer and he explained in detail what the treatment would be. So far my health issue has been resolved. Can't ask for more than that.
