I had to do a sleep study here. They really made me feel at home. I had my own little hotel room in their office where I had a bed, bathroom, and a tv. They gave me some snacks when I got settled in. I was a little anxious about sleeping there with a lot of wires hooked up to me all over, but the nurse really put me at ease and helped me relax. It was a painless process. Definitely take your own pillows when you go because theirs are flat and give you no support. But if you have to have a sleep study done, this is the place you want to go to.
I stayed there last night in the "blissful room". I was so nervous before going there but & I got in & settled I relaxed & my nerves seemed to subside. I had the best nurse ever, her name is Brittany, she really just made it a wonderful experience. There was one point after I was hooked up to the machines I had to use the restroom & all I had to do is ask. (They listen to you sleep, but they're not in the room with you.) Didn't have to push a button or anything just said I need to use the restroom please. She came straight in without hesitation. Also I was hooked up to 26 wires throughout my hair (due to having a history or seizures) 4 or 5 on my forehead, 1 or 2 on each shoulder, 2 on each leg, a belt around my stomach & 1 around my chest & the thing that goes up your nose (like they give you with oxygen) with a 🎤 on the bottom of it to record your snoring (I think that's all) 😅 You would think with all that it would be extremely difficult to sleep but nope, I do believe I slept better there then I do at home. I wrote all this to say if you have to have a sleep study done, I highly recommend going here for it. It's extremely clean, very cozy, & the staff go above & beyond to make you feel at home & welcome. The Sleep Center is a very calming place. Very quite and the staff takes real good care of you. Excellent staff! I am a new Inspire patient and I have such fun when I go to my visites. We are all learning this new technology together. The staff,Inspire rep(Renee) and myself have a good relationship. I am the only one in Caldwell County. Inspire is Great and would recommend the Sleep Center and UNC Healthcare for your sleep apnea needs!
The staff are so kind and the provider was wonderful. I was able to get everything done in one place, and even got a tour of the sleep center because I was nervous. The night of my study I thought I was the only patient, it was so quiet! My tech, Sam, was excellent. She explained everything. Would recommend to everyone.
See the provider, have your study and get the results all in one place! The rooms are like a mini-hotel with your own bathroom, shower, overhead fan, TV and wi-fi. Brooke Bost, PA is absolutely wonderful!! All the staff are friendly and very professional. If I need supplies, I just call them and they take care of it without me having to go, or call, anywhere else. They see me periodically to make sure my CPAP taking care of my apnea. They are also an Inspire accredited facility if I ever decide to go that route. Excellent place!
