Be careful going here. My doctor directed me to this location and was told they should accept insurance. Upon my initial visit, my blue cross/shield was presented. Nothing was covered apparently and nothing itemized until i already went. Now, they are sending 600$ to collections for me wearing a device on my finger at home for 2 days and follow up that literally involved a YouTube video in an empty office. Obviously canceled the sleep in and all future appointments. Don't come here, they won't help you. If you suffer from sleep deprivation, get prescribed sleep aides directly from your primary care provider. I would give 0 stars, but that isn't optional.
I was referred here by my primary to test for sleep apnea. Not knowing a whole lot about it they said there's a sleep lab study where you stay overnight or a device that goes on your finger. They didn't say anything about an additional apparatus to test for sleep apnea that has monitors that go around your chest to monitor heart rate etcetera. The only gave me the finger option and think of it as the oxygen sensor from your physician's office. They said the results were borderline after my follow-up appointment. The PA suggested an antihistamine called hydroxyzine to help me sleep which I took. I had some of the worst drug interactions I've ever had in my entire life. They didn't bother to double-check to see if there's any problems with stuff that I was taking nevertheless I felt drugged and high and drunk all at the same time yesterday. It took about 36 hours for me to get back to normal. When I called to inquire about the additional at home testing that had monitors that attached to your body I was told I'd have to make another appointment. Nevertheless I canceled my appointment, I've canceled the sleep lab study and I will be going someplace else. If you go here make sure you check your own drug interactions with whatever they prescribed to you because clearly they don't. The front desk staff were awesome I just want to put that out there the physicians themselves not so much.
Karen was awesome. She explained everything so well. and andrea and the other lady at the desk was helpful and respectful, marvelous and working with us to get a schedule and.
After waiting to sign in for almost 15 with no greeting, just told to sit down, another gentleman walked in and was greated and asked to have a seat. The receptionist then called the other gentleman up, by name, to check him in. Her excuse, multiple providers. Well how do you know which provider I am seeing if I haven’t even checked in yet? I walked out. If you wanted to do a quick check in on someone, how about you at least acknowledge the other people in the room waiting to check in. I worked in the medical field and was a receptionist for over 10 of my 15 yrs. I would never have treated a patient that way.
Americans with disability act ADA. Requires Dr offices to have handicap Accessibility. Not only could we not fit a walker or a wheelchair into the bathroom without it being blocked by a bed stand. But there's no rails to get in and out of bed. Nor were there railings on the wall to get off the toilet. Bed slid around on the frame. It was not attached. I understand it's not the persons job that doing sleep study to help clients. When having such risks of non existent railings or a way to get out of bed there should Definitely be a nurse on duty at bare minimum. I'm grateful for the sleep study. But at the end of the day having handicap Accessibility is a law in the state of michigan!!!! Especially if your having people stay the night there to perform a sleep study. I will not bash the employee because they were doing their job but this definitely could of been handled differently!!!
