I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible team that supported me during my recent MRI at the hospital, Rick Ramirez, Emilia Munoz, and Kristen Burego. I’ve always had difficult veins, but this day was especially challenging. After multiple attempts, the team made the thoughtful decision to call in ER Nurse Kristen Burego, who arrived with an ultrasound machine to assist. Even with advanced tools, finding a vein proved to be an uphill battle, but Nurse Burego’s skill, patience, and persistence ultimately prevailed. Throughout the entire experience, this team demonstrated unwavering compassion, professionalism, and grace. They didn’t rush. They didn’t give up. They treated me like a person, not just a patient, and in doing so, they gave me more than just a successful procedure: they gave me hope. When you’re living with a serious illness, moments like these, and people like them, remind you that there is still kindness and goodness in the world. Words can’t fully express how much this meant to me. Thank you, Rick, Emilia, and Kristen. I will never forget your care.

So I called Shannon South (Knickerbocker) because they left my wife a message about her upcoming MRI visit concerning the out of pocket cost. Since she's under my insurance, I decided to return the call. But they told me that my wife would have to call them to let them know it was ok for me to call inquiring about her appointment. After my wife called them, I called them back. The woman let me know that it was ok now to ask about my wife's out of pocket question. I said "Ok" so I asked her about their message to my wife about the out of pocket amount. Then she repeated herself and told me that I needed to fill out a release form so it would be in the system and I would not have problems inquiring about my wife's costs. I said: "OK, I got it". So I asked again about the original message they sent my wife about the out of pocket amount. Then, the woman repeated herself and told me it was ok for me to ask since my wife had already called in the morning. I told her AGAIN: "OK, I got it, so what was the original message about the out of pocket amount you sent my wife?" Then, she said that they had to abide by those regulations and then repeated herself all over again that it was ok for me to ask since my wife had already called them and told them it was ok for me to ask about the out of pocket amount. I was running out of patience, so I asked her: "You do know that you are indefinitely repeating yourself and going around in circles, right?" Then she snapped at me and told me "NO, Im not going around in circles" LOL... I was thinking this person has some serious mental issues. So, I thought I would ask one last time and if she didn't snap out of her "Rain Man repetitive mode" I would just hang up on her. So I calmly asked her: "is it possible for you to move on from this topic?" Then thankfully she came out of her repetitive "Rain Man" mode and finally gave me the answer I had been asking a multitude of times before. If this is not "crazy", I don't know what is. Shannon needs to screen their workers a lot more so they can competently help their patients instead of hiring incompetent people who repeat themselves indefinitely about things that have already been taken care of, because it's very frustrating. Staying "focused" on the topic at hand is very important in customer service.

If I could I would give 0 stars. I was seen by Dr Felix a couple of months ago. I called before I went and was told that they take marketplace insurance. Once there they said they didn’t take that insurance and didn’t know who I spoke with. I needed my bp meds because I was out so I paid $300 to be seen by Dr Felix. He said he wrote a prescription for my meds for 6 months. I have only had 2 months filled and now have no more refills. I went to Shannon yesterday and the dr wasn’t in but of course they said I could pay to be seen by another dr. I cannot afford that!! Dr Felix is supposed to be in today but the phones are not being answered. Guess I will have to take off work and drive back up there today. I was told yesterday that he would call me this morning but of course, nothing.

Just wow. I have blue cross blue shield went thru match maker to locate me with a doctor . Gave me doctor paul ou. I explained I haven't been to doctors in a long time. Never once did anyone ever mention anything about payments etc the entire time I was there. All he did was talk for 35 min rambling on about basic stuff ,practically said that this is a residency and there only trained in book knowledge etc. So he ordered multiple tests because obviously he doesnt know how to self diagnose . He Flashed a light down my throat super fast checked my breathing and tapped my knees lol. Good thing for tests because that was the only part that was worth it about that visit. If it wasn't for the tests I wouldn't know if I was fine or dying. Smh they really need to get it together. Never did I once get a follow up call or any messages through my chart pertaining information from my visit or tests results. That is terrible communication. All I did was get billed. There just there to collect your money. Dissapointing.
