Valley Pulmonary Sleep Center

I arrived at 9:30 am for my appointment with Dr. Rivera…at 11am at least 5 patients that arrived after I did had already been called in. When I stood up to ask what was taking so long the receptionist was surprised I hadn’t been called in yet. When I asked what my appointment was for she told me it was for a follow up. I haven’t even had a sleep study or procedure yet. What a joke and a total waste of time. I will go elsewhere.

As a long time patient, of Valley Pulmanary Group and of Dr. Vallejo, I am extremely disappointed on how I was treated, now that Dr. Vallejo is no longer part of their group. As soon, as I let them know, I wanted to continue to be seen by Dr. Vallejo, they refused to help me. I called many, many times to inquire as to where Dr. Vallejo had moved to, since I needed refills on my asthma medication they still refused to give me any info. The nurses that answered the phone were very rude and hung up on me several times. Due to this, I went several months with out receiving my asthma medication. I even asked to speak to Esmer a certified medical assistant who I have known and dealt with for many years and they refused to let me talk to her. Apart of them, not giving you any information they also refused to send my medical records to Dr. Vallejo's new office. If I could rate this office a negative zero I would ..

I'm only complaining of wait time. The office told me they would see me as soon as I got there for my breathing test. Waiting over 15 minutes, 30, 45 minutes and still no test and no one will tell me what the hold up is.... Now they say it's my insurance, waiting for approval ( California office not open 8am or 10 am Texas time) 1hr and 10 minutes later they call me in. If you make appt make sure your insurance is open. The service itself very good, tech was helpful and very courtesy and apologetic.

Excellent doctors and terrific staff! Unfortunately the wait time can be quite long, but I've found that to be pretty typical of highly rated specialists as a whole. The staff is always friendly and personable, the Dr always takes the time to listen to you and answer all your questions instead of rushing you in and out the door. They also do a great job at explaining everything to you and making sure you are informed during the entire process. Dr de Gorrordo is very personable and honest, he tells you like it is. Highly recommend him.

Had an awesome experience with Dr. Juan Marcos Chavez at Valley Pulmonary Group today. Very professional office, wasn’t overbooked, so wait wasn’t bad at all.. compared to so many other physicians offices here in the Valley. The clinicians and office staff were so friendly, personable, professional and made me feel so comfortable. I felt like an individual patient from the front office walking in, to the moment I checked out. Dr. Chavez took time to listen to my concerns, caring, personable, explain everything and even impart some educational knowledge about my asthma and how my lack of sleep has been affecting my entire body and mood. So thankful Valley Pulmonary Group is the office I received my referral to be treated. If anyone is looking for a respiratory or internal medical physicians I would definitely recommend this office and even more specific, Dr. Chavez. Recently moving into the area, seems to be a mecca for physicians and it’s hard to weed out the great ones with pleasant offices. So I hope this helps others with their search.
