American Sleep Medicine Newark

This location is no longer in service. I called to make a follow up appointment and there was no answer As the line had been disconnected. When I went to their website, the location was not listed. I called another location and they told me that the Newark Delaware location was closed.

Confirmed they are out of business; took my at home exam and they never called with the results nor did they send them to my dr. I called the Baltimore office and they took my info so that hopefully will work.

Do not use this sleep center! Dr. Aaron is the only doctor in this place and he is completely useless. I was able to get an appointment right away compared to other sleep doctors. However, when I arrived for my initial consult, I quickly discovered that they overbook. I was seen over an hour after my original appointment time. Scheduled for a sleep test. Had a seizure during my sleep study and was taken to the ER. Nursing staff at the sleep center were great. Only plus of this place. Doctor never called me to see how I was doing or give me the results of my sleep study. Had to get the results through my primary care physician. When I did call and told the sleep center to get the doctor to do his job, he finally called me. Now trying to get my machine. This place sent over my info to the supply company with my phone number incorrect. Wasted a week until I called to find out what’s going on. Now I can’t get a straight answer on where my equipment is and when it’s coming in. Seems like they are avoiding my calls now. Find another sleep center. Don’t waste your time with this place. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Terrible 😞! Would not recommend this place at all !! Filled all the paperwork out the night before getting to my appointment, I arrived at my appointment 3:30pm appointment time was 3:45pm check in with the receptionist give her my ID and insurance card and sat down and waited for 20 minutes then another receptionist came up to me and said my insurance was inactive which wasn't true cause I just use my insurance at another appointment previously the other day... Then the receptionist came back out and says oh your insurance was good and your set for the appointment that right there should have been a warning sign for me to turn around .. finally gets called back after another 15 minutes , room was not cleaned rug had all types of stains on the carpet and chair . Doctor never gave eye contact when I talked sat at his desk and type the information in from the paperwork that I previously did the night before.. never was checked , never asked how my sleeping pattern was now .. Doctor talked for 5 minutes at the end of the appointment and it was over ..Not the kind of place I would get care from .. Seems like a scam to me and these people are just about making there money not caring about patients.

As others said, they overbook, which causes you to wait well after your appointment time, almost an hour in my case. My appointment was a phone call, and likely was would be a lower priority if they had many people waiting at their office. But the doctor was nice and reviewed many different aspects of why i was seen.
