It has been a long time since I’ve met doctors who truly care about their patients and do not rush through appointments. They took the time to understand my concerns and needs. UT Health Houston Dr. Mellor-Crummey and Dr. Christopher Zias listened carefully to my health issues and were willing to help me find the right solutions and recommendations. Their patience and compassion meant a great deal to me, especially when I was feeling hopeless. In addition, Cassie at checkout was very friendly and easy to talk to. She made the scheduling process simple, and I felt very comfortable throughout this entire visit.
UTHealth is an excellent medical facility. Impressed with the free ample parking, helpful receptionists at check-in & check out, clean comfortable waiting room & examining rooms, & convenient on site lab. The entire staff is professional & I have the upmost confidence in the care that is provided especially by Dr. Michael L. Zhu. He is the best doctor I ever had. He is highly skilled, knowledgeable, an advocate, personable, & empathetic. Dr Zhu is prompt with his treatment plans & correspondence with me. I totally trust his judgment & compassion.
Do not recommend the GI here. I called and had to schedule for 2 months out which was fine. Then was called less than 2 days before my appointment and was told the doctor wouldn't be there. The reschedule that was offered was in three months. Don't recommend unless your okay with waiting 5 months and possibly be cancelled on right before.
I drive an hour to come to this location to see my endocrinologist, Dr. Omar Sandoval. He is one of the nicest physicians I have ever come across. He genuinely cares about your health and always makes sure any questions are answered. One of the nurses that helps him is also SUPER awesome each time we see her.
I address Dr. Gladis Savio as a doctor instead of a NP because she has the knowledge and skill set of a higher leveled healthcare professional. She is the definition of a patient care advocate, dependable, respectful, always professional, caring, she listens to her patients, and she is a compassionate healthcare leader. The way she collaborates and communicates with her patients makes me feel comfortable and I trust her to make decisions regarding my health. She never treats me like I am a patient, instead she treats me like I am a person who needs help and guidance. She never hesitates to assist me with anything in a timely manner, and I am forever grateful to have her as my physician. Onome Uban has the most vivacious and spirited personality. It shows as soon as she walks into any room. He is attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to improving her patients' satisfaction. She is always professional, and pays attention to detail. She is not judgemental in any way and I always receive the warmest welcome when I am around her. We need more healthcare professionals like her in the world and other members of the team with her job description needs to be following her lead. Let her train and lead the team. I am always thankful for the care that I receive at UT and keep up the good work ladies.
