We gave birth here three weeks ago with Dr. Sisk as our OB, and we’re still in awe of the experience! After transferring from a large Omaha hospital, we couldn’t be happier we did. Dr. Sisk is truly the best doctor we’ve ever worked with—calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate. He prepared us, supported our choices, and made it possible for us to have the unmedicated birth we dreamed of. The Labor & Delivery unit feels like a boutique experience. The staff is incredibly flexible and attentive, and in our two-day stay, we never had a single unmet need. The facilities were amazing—our labor room had a jet tub, and our recovery room had a queen bed so both mom and dad could rest comfortably. You get all the perks of a big hospital with the personalized care of a small one. One of the sweetest touches was the celebration meal after birth—steak, baked potato, and even a little “birthday cake” for baby. So memorable!! Nurse Sarah labored with us for over 12 hours and was incredible. She’s clearly very experienced with unmedicated births, always reassuring us that everything was progressing perfectly. She worked seamlessly with our doula—they were an amazing team. Our baby nurse, Sabrina, was patient and kind, teaching us all the little tricks of newborn care. Both Julie and Sarah provided excellent lactation support, spending hours guiding us through the first couple of days. Their support gave us the confidence we needed and made all the difference. Even the first night we came home, when we called in to the labor and delivery unit in tears worried about baby, Sabrina calmly assessed the situation and reassured us everything was fine. If you’re expecting, be sure to attend their Baby Expo in the fall or spring—you can meet the nursing staff and tour the facilities, which helped us feel so prepared and confident. We wouldn’t give birth anywhere else after our experience, and we can’t recommend Dr. Sisk enough!

About the wrost hospital ive ever experienced in my life and im on 32 yrs old. My partner and i came in a day after a car accident with severe pain. I understand there is piroities but dear god almighty, we waiting for 5 hours before anyone came back to talk with us about anything and even then is wasnt a conversation, it was " oh your okay so were going to discharge you now" 5 hours later.. really really bad. Since then ive been calling 2 to 3 even 4 times a week to get the hospital to send the bill to my auto insurance so they can get paid.. but NO as of yesterday from my insurance they still havent received the bill from the hospital. This place definitely dose not care about there money that badly.. unless they are trying to ride it out so they then can persue me legally.. i wish they would with all the calls to my insurance i have whitnesses that will stand behind me. But they insist on playing around and not giving a damn.. now i have to leave work early.to come and sit and wait to obtain the bill my insurance company requires to pay this hospital... highly highly not recommending to anyone.. im very disappointed and very upset they can not fulfil what the say they will as far as getting to your insurance provider.. i will never come back to this hospital at all. Ill got out of my way and farther away from home before i give them any kind of business again...

I wouldn’t suggest this hospital to anyone that is elderly or has medical conditions that require expert care. My 81 year old grandfather was treated terribly and sent home with major health concerns because they couldn’t easily fix him. It was requested he be transferred to a larger hospital by not only the family but his physician in Fremont and it was refused with no explanation despite it being clear they could not complete what was needed to relieve some of his issues. He visited this emergency room, was sent home the same day in worse condition than he arrived and the next day after paying to transport him to an Omaha hospital, was admitted and received emergency surgery. When concerns were expressed to this hospital we received a form letter apologizing but no regard for the blatant neglect and dismissal. He was not cared for because he didn’t have a simple issue with a simple solve and was then denied the transfer somewhere that he could be cared for by more qualified physicians. I wouldn’t suggest anyone visit this emergency room or trust that they will be cared for as it is clear, they do not care.

Dr. Walter Wood is by far the kindest and most compassionate health-care professional that I've ever encountered. In my opinion he is a credit to the medical community. Thank you Walter!

I delivered here last week and was blown away by my experience. The Labor and Delivery nurses were all so kind and caring! After delivering at Women’s with my first, I can easily say this experience was so much more personalized and a more positive experience all around. If we have another, we will be delivering at MCH again!
