I came into the ER in labor and was quickly checked in and sent up to labor and delivery. The nurses, doctors and midwife were all incredible. Made me extremely comfortable and walked me through everything I needed to know. Very responsive to calls for assistance, and willing to teach you if you need help. Would recommend this hospital for delivery.

Within 5 minutes of visiting this ER I instantly regretted it. After checking in and they were verifying my information I realized they had all of my emergency contacts wrong, They had me as taking medications that I haven't taken in years. ( The same thing happened a few years ago with my elderly mother. She was admitted and they had her on medications that she hadn't taken in 10 years)! They didn't ask about any medication allergies or allergies in general. They didn't go over current medications or make any effort to correct any inaccuracies. I should have had a wrist band stating I was on blood thinners and another that said I had allergies. I was lucky they even put a bracelet with my name on it. If I would have had a true emergency situation it would have been very scary to say the least! Sorry to say but my nurse who attempted to put an IV in me literally did not know how to correctly put an IV in. She blew out not one but 3 different veins! I'm not talking just maybe missing a vein. No! She literally blew the veins out. (I needed to get blood work from my doctor's office today and the phlebotomist at my doctor's office said, "Wow, how the hell did someone blow your veins out like that?" I've had bad phlebotomists before but the staff at this hospital was the worst I've ever had!!! The doctor was ok. He ordered the necessary tests and I was out of there pretty quickly. I thought this hospital would have improved over the years but hell no! Some things never change. I know I won't go back there again!

Had an absolutely horrible experience at this hospital from Saturday night into Sunday morning. I brought my brother in with severe pain, literally writhing in agony, and from the moment we arrived, the care was inhuman. At the front desk, instead of focusing on the emergency, they were demanding that he speak, even though he was clearly in too much pain to talk. When I gave his date of birth, the receptionist insisted he looked familiar and claimed he had been there before, even though that was not true, and she had a condescending, unprofessional attitude. The nurses were just as rude and insensitive. At one point, we overheard a call from an ambulance reporting that a 47-year-old woman had been hit in the head with a revolver. One of the nurses started mocking the situation, saying “she got pistol whip, she got pistol whip”, and even raised her hand and mimicked hitting someone in the head multiple times, laughing and making faces—an absolutely disgusting and unprofessional reaction to a traumatic emergency. I wasn’t allowed to go in with my brother during a moment when he was clearly having a panic episode from the pain. When they finally gave him medication, it left him mentally disoriented, and no one clearly explained what they had administered or why. This place shows no ethics, no compassion, and no professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. It was a traumatic experience that has left my family deeply shaken.

The check in desk never asked for ID or insurance. A nurse was taking vitals in the waiting room. The elevator ramp for the garage is not handicap accessible. This the first time being in Lehigh valley hospital, i immediately got a gut feeling that this is not a good place.

Over the years I didn't have to much faith in this hospital but on march 24th I had some breathing issues they acted quickly and were very curious. I did end up being admitted to the fifth floor. Here I experienced the most excellent care and compassion. So I greatly appreciate the care I got from such wonderful doctors and nurses. May god bless you all.
