On December 10, 2025, I visited Columbus Hospital Emergency Room due to chest pains at 7:30 AM. Dr. Miller was the attending physician on that day. Initial treatment involved administering medication to alleviate my chest discomfort. I spent a significant amount of time in the ER awaiting test results. By the time I needed to leave, it was nearly 2:30 PM, and I was still awaiting one test result. Fortunately, most of the results were negative. However, I later discovered that results were being awaited from a doctor who was not present at the facility. This doctor was responsible for interpreting my heart ultrasound. As the wait continued, I needed to use the restroom, but staff did not return to reconnect me to the monitoring equipment. I was very disappointed, as I believe the ER staff should be more attentive to their patients and proactively communicate updates without requiring patient inquiry.

Gabe was my nurse - he helped me deliver my baby. He was the best nurse i’ve ever had. From answering all my questions, to providing support and comfort, to encouraging during delivery. He was confident and rocked all aspects of being a nurse in the OB wing. Could not say enough good things about him. Dr. Wulf was also amazing but everyone already knows that. - Bailey Ortmeier

Overpriced, will not respond to complaints, inexperienced, incorrect readings on MRI, etc., For your health, please have someone else give a second opinion/look or move elsewhere. Sadly, there is not another/better place to go closer.

I, my family and friends have had many poor experiences here, mostly in the ER - dishonesty and incompetence that would have proved fatal if we didn't seek care elsewhere. They also refuse to provide pricing for recommended tests and procedures up front, which we found to be 2-5 times more expensive than other local options. The hospital has become more of a self-serving oligarchy than community-focused resource.

Dr. Cameron and Karla in the ED lied about starting immediate medications to fight an infection that was on the road to become septic. They said I should be admitted and would get a few different antibiotics going immediately to prevent the infection from entering my blood stream. The moment I got to the room I was admitted to, I was informed they left no notes and that they said they were only planning to give me 1 antibiotic type every 12 hours even though they have to wait 2 days for labs to show if this 1 antibiotic is even the right one for my infection and if it’s sensitive to it. Sepsis is serious and life threatening and Dr. Cameron continued to say that he would only be giving me the antibiotics as he had told my nurses. I have a lot of medical issues where if this does enter my blood stream, the chance for fatality is extremely high since renal failure would be a sped up process in the unfortunate event I were to go septic. They didn’t provide any pain meds to me for 10 hours as well. If you want to be valued as a living human, please avoid this hospital. The doctors are absolutely atrocious. The nurse Claire and Audrey that I had when I was admitted, were so kind, patient and helpful. They are the only reason this isn’t rated 1 star.
