Munson Sleep Disorders Center is an AASM-accredited sleep center located in Traverse City, MI. The clinic specializes in home sleep testing, in-lab sleep testing (Polysomnography), and sleep medicine consultation. Patients can receive expert care for circadian rhythm disorders, hypersomnia/excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), restless legs syndrome (RLS), sleepwalking (Somnambulism), and snoring.

We have only had excellent care at the Munson Sleep Clinic in Traverse City. The staff has been very professional, responsive and kind to us. We have always had same day call back for questions. Dr. Malik is amazing. He's understands our situation and has been instrumental in getting us the equipment and meds that are needed. We have had nothing but an excellent experience. We highly recommend.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME HERE. I was refered to the Munson Sleep Clinic by my P.A., and the clinic, via email, scheduled me for virtual visit, I never spoke with a person. I waited three months, told in an email, that a link would be sent. I did not receive the link, nor could I contact any human to help me. Each time I called any of the numbers for the sleep clinic, I was told leaving multiple messages would delay response, then the system hung up. I called Munson general phone, but the switchboard opporator could not help. just sent me back to the came message, " Our systems are being updated." That's the same message for months. No one calls back, no one seems to know what is going on, no one sends the link for the virtual visit, no one follows up. There is NO ONE. Apparently this is a GHOST Sleep Center it does not exist. Another reason to avoid Big Corporate Hospitals. they simply do not care if they did it would change.
My family doctor referred me. Took the sleep test, returned the device as instructed and then never heard from the clinic again. Literally no follow up call. How does this happen? I had low expectations for this clinic to begin with but gave them a chance. What a joke...
The care I’ve received here has been excellent. I was a little concerned after reading reviews - and I will admit, scheduling was not easy and time consuming with multiple cancellations (hence 4 stars), but once you are seen, you are in good hands by providers, nursing staff and RTs. Completed a nighttime as well as daytime sleep study within the clinic and was taken great care of. Thank you!
Used to have a good friendly staff with a helpful and knowledgeable doctor. That’s no longer the case. I was a patient here for over 8 years and they essentially abandoned me in the middle of our ongoing treatment plan. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I showed up to a scheduled appointment, drove 45 minutes and left work when I arrived the doors were locked. They even sent me a text reminding me of my appointment. Even the staff on the bottom floor was puzzled and had no answers. I work 50 hours a week, I’m going to college, and raising a child. On top of all that I have to fight them to send my prescriptions to treat my Narcolepsy. Not sure what is going on at this place but it’s truly disgusting. Don’t waste your time coming to this “sleep specialist” you’d be better off seeing your primary care physician.
