Lori (his wife) is absolutely wonderful. Amy NP rocks. Dr. B is also the best. Looking at the previous posts I can see they are referencing the other 2 doctors in the practice. I can see what they mean. I've seen one of the doctors and left absolutely furious. He discounts every concern, issue, and whatever. Won't admit when he is wrong and just plain comes off as a know-it-all. I cannot stand that arrogant man. The other one I would not go to because of reputation only. I have not seen Dr. Stevens. Sorry folks, but when you limited the Ascension St Vincent office and shipped the 2 bad apples to Community the quality did go down.
Dr Marc Cohen is honestly one of the worst doctors I've ever met. Not only did he demand a camera on during a virtual visit but he also got me banned from all jwm doctors because I filed a grievance with my insurance. On top of that they force you to stay on a medication after you show you have an allergy to it. And the icing on the cake they will delete and hide your review. I found this out when my review from 10 months ago didn't appear on Google at all. Avoid avoid avoid
I was referred to JWM from primary care in status migrainosus, presenting with an unusual migraine. I got in with a telemedicine visit with Dr. Marc Cohen, who didn't take me seriously, is arrogant, & condescending. I had to self-advocate for testing & he intially misdiagnosed me with small vessel disease (a condition of people in their 60s not late 30s) based on my weight. Additional testing actually lead to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (& the unusual migraine was likely optic neuritis). If I hadn't self-advocated & let Dr. Cohen take a "watchful waiting" approach to my migraines as he had wanted to intially, my MS could of progressed untreated. Because of this, I switched to Dr. Blankenship, who has been treating my MS for 2 1/2yrs now & is kind & soft spoken, takes me seriously & answers my questions patiently and I couldn't be happier. His nurse Lori is just as excellent. I haven't had any issues with the front desk *knock on wood* but can see how the staff can be problematic.
Do not recommend Dr. Howe. Was referred here due to my years of back pain (at least a decade) I arrived a half hour early as instructed. I waited passed my appointment time (20 minutes) and then was called back. The nurse who checked me in insisted that their receptionists had given me the wrong forms to fill out and that I was supposed to have gotten my intake forms in the mail (Never received) When the doctor finally came in, I rose to shake his hand he told me to sit. Asked a bunch of personal questions (How long I’d been married, how many kids I have, what I do for work) then proceeded to tell me, your MRI is fine so I don’t want to do a shot on your “Virgin back” asked how he could help me? I responded with my concerns and that I ideally wanted to be pain free. He said I can’t help you with that and said try physical therapy. If that didn’t work to come back and twist his arm and he might give me an injection. No follow up, huge waste of time and gas.
Not a good experience at all. Everyone at this office is very dismissive and disregarding. Including the doctors. It takes months to get an appointment and when you finally get one make sure you bring your medical records with you because the staff won’t request them all. They’ll look past any of your concerns to pursue their own diagnosis without having all of your medical records and in my case I completed all the testing requested of me and they left me a voicemail after hours the day before my appointment cancelling my follow up appointment to discuss those test results for no viable reason. I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the attorney general and medical board. Highly suggest anyone else who’s had this experience (which based on the reviews is 90%) do the same. This office should not have peoples lives in their hands.
