After reading all of the reviews on here I was really nervous about this clinic, but a psychiatrist mentioned that she interned here and the doctor was very knowledgeable about Narcolepsy. In the past I've had issues with doctors making me worry that I would have to have more testing for my diagnosis (Narcolepsy) for insurance reasons.. but Dr. Gurru looked at my testing, my previous history of being treated, and listened to what I was asking for and proceeded to treat me! No issues, no insurance scares, no requiring more testing.. it was SMOOTH! After he prescribed me, my prescription insurance kept denying me (prime therapeutics.. I don't like them at all!) claiming the medications he requested they would not cover for my condition. Dr. Gurru kept working with me to adjust medications, the office kept sending in the pre authorizations, and eventually we landed on a combination that works. I now have the ability to have my medication managed through virtual appointments which has made the process even easier! This office IS busy, but they always make room for my appointments to make sure I continue getting my medication, and my visits with him are swift and quick. It's obvious he has a lot of back end people as 1 takes insurance, 1 does pre notes, 1 takes his audio notes and transcribes them, 1 does scheduling, etc. etc. To me this seems like a well oiled machine, trying to get us all in and managed in an efficient way. Not everything is perfect, but it's obvious to me that they are trying to hear complaints and make adjustments.. which I appreciate. Thanks, Dr. Gurru!!

I found Dr. Gurru to be knowledgeable and attentive but the office so poorly run that I could not continue to receive care there. - It took 1 hour and 27 minutes to see the doctor on the first visit. When I asked the front desk for a projected time, there was no awareness of what the doctor was doing or when he'd be available. I left when the second appointment hit 1 hour and 15 minutes without seeing the doctor. - Office staff attempt to communicate through their personal phone numbers making it very difficult to keep track of who I was talking to. - When preparing for my second visit, the staff acted like they had no record of my first and I was forced to reanswer the initial screening questions.

Does anybody ever answer the phones here? Called two days in a row and the machine puts you on hold automatically. Waited 20 min both times!

Both times I’ve gone I’ve waited way over an hour! Jennifer told me I needed an eeg done & there office would call me for more information to make appointment! The day they call me they asked me for my insurance info again and told me they’ll give me another call another time when they have something available for 2025!! And I have not met the doctor gurro yet only his assistant like what’s up with that? All the other neurologists I’ve seen have taken there time and actually talk to there patient! They should just close this office down! And leave the work to the professionals!!

Upon reading all the other reviews I went in with low expectations, but stayed positive. Needless to say after spending 2 hours in the waiting room to be seen by the doctor and was in and out in less than 5 min. They did not have the reason for my referral correct. I have since spent countless hours in the Telehealth waiting room over multiple appointments only to be pushed out in less than 5 mins. I wasn't informed he does not treat the condition I was referred to him for until after seeing him for months. This office is a giant bureaucracy that only leads to miscommunication and inefficiencies. You will not be heard or listened to at this office. If you have anything other than a sleep disorder stay away. Dr. Guru has also refused to review evidence I have sent him. I tried my hardest to give them the benefit of the doubt but they are only interested in turning a profit, not treating people.
