If there was a 0 star review, I would give it to them 4 years ago. I had a stroke. And in my charts, it said not to give me iodine. I told the radiologist, do not inject me with iodine, and he had said to me. What's more important your brain or your hives? While he found out when I went into anaplastic shock due to him giving me iodine. Then I was air l lifted 2 regents. Great hospital not than just today. I went in for my chronic pain which I have suffered from for over 30 years to be told. There's nothing they can do to help me never once. Did they look in my chart to see that I had 21 epidurals, and 3 back surgeries? They told me there was nothing they could do to help me. I ended up telling the emergency room doctor off after he told me that there was nothing he could do for me. What is a hospital for? Or but to help people, I would never go here again.Nor would I send anyone I know there good job amory hospital.
Had surgery here. Easy and fast check in. The doctor was based at another hospital so I did not see him after the surgery. His assistant was there during the procedure and he came back to check on me several times. Nurses were polite and very very helpful. Food was good. I would go back here if I needed another surgery.
I was brought in unexpectedly to the ED, they did what was necessary and got me to the floor. I ended up needing surgery a few days later and everyone on the floor was very kind and helpful. Explained all of what was needed to be done so I could understand it. Nurses and staff attentive to answering lights quickly and kindly. Pain was well controlled. I had never been a patient here and originally from Twin Cities, I was not sure at first if I should be seen in the Twin Cities, but this was an excellent experience. I recommend this hospital and staff.
I like my GP, but the cardiology department and cardiologist are the worst! No communication and you wait 3 months between appointments even though you are in Afib! Then cancels appointment last minute and gives no way to get meds renewed. When I tried to reschedule the next appointment was 4 months out. I have had to change Doctors and clinics to get reasonable care.
My family will no longer use this clinic. The business office was incredibly rude to me throughout the entire call, from the very start. There was no sympathy regarding my concerns of overbilling and the challenges around exploring these details, as it's for my teenage child and HIPAA prevents me from viewing details/EOB. My child was seen at the New Richmond clinic and the Amery clinic for same concern. For some reason, the appt was about $100 more and the lab fees were about $200 more in Amery than New Richmond. The business office staff gave me very little guidance, and was clear that they would not stop the bill from going to collections to give time to call the insurance company instead, as it has been 4 months. She said 4 months several times in a very rude tone, as if that is some extremely, unreasonably time frame to dispute a large bill. (Especially considering the holidays and a severe cold and flu season.) This was my third attempt at finding out more information, and they have not called me once. I had previously discussed the concerns with a different HealthPartners business office, and while they couldn't give me the answers, the conversation was much more positive and supportive. This is not the only review expressing concerns with billing and the billing office. This coupled with level of care concerns that other's have shared, I would avoid this clinic unless it's an actual emergency.
