I feel the same as the other 5 star reviewer. I am so grateful that I didn’t see the reviews beforehand. I also experienced extremely competent and professional people. I was met with kindness and respect from the front desk, to the doctor who I consulted with, to the woman who went over the results, to the man who explained and helped me with my concerns with getting the equipment. I'm grateful for the care and dedication I was able to witness for myself.

There is a LOT of negative sentiment here which had me very worried as I arrived today to the sleep clinic to pick up my test kit. Every negative review was very clearly written by a senseless boomer who has a skewed sense of importance. My tech (thirty something white guy with glasses) was flawless. He answered every question, he was patient, thorough, and gloved up as he walked me through the device. This review is a reflection of the efficiency, and thoughtfulness of the two employees I interacted with at the clinic, and the speed with which I was able to enter and exit with my device.

Waited 6 long months to see the sleep specialist. First appointment she took down a bunch of info.. that is all. She goes to schedule my second appointment and I have to wait another 5 months! She didn’t give me anything to help with my insomnia. I guess I need to wait another 5 months for the second appointment before I get anything of any value to help me. I would never have gone to the first appointment if I knew I would need to wait an additional 5 more months before I would get any guidance to help with my insomnia. It will almost be a full year from scheduling my first appointment …to getting actual help. Ridiculous. Don’t waste your money and time. **Just got the bill…$173.00 for that first appt. $173.00 to tell her I can’t sleep. Unbelievable.

Good luck with this place. I didn't mind the long wait because I thought I was dealing with professional people. Not what I had. First of all, the equipment for my home sleep study was dirty. The guy explaining how to use the equipment wasn't wearing gloves and was poking his fingers into the spots I would insert my fingers. When I pointed out what he was doing, he was upset with me. He cleaned it all up, but it was clear he didn't like it. I took the equipment home and decided I wanted to really be certain it was all sanitary and I discovered the wires had a lot of tape residue. I cleaned everything up to my satisfaction, the thought that I would be sleeping with who knows what just really creeped me out. Then, I couldn't sleep. I read, tried to sleep again, found I was just too wide awake so I read some more. I'm very claustrophobic and the equipment was driving me crazy. I was getting more agitated. I called the lab. Very nice woman talked to me. I explained what and why. Asked if I could take the equipment off and put it on again after an hour or so, she said if I was experiencing that much difficulty, just let it go and try to get some rest. So off it all came. I wore the test equipment for just over 3 hours. Didn't fall asleep till about 5 am, but did get a little sleep. Took the equipment back the on time with the questionnaire. I filled out the paperwork like I was supposed to but added that the equipment needed cleaning before I could use it. Days later I had an analysis of the reading. OMG! I have the worst case of sleep apnea ever. Oh, my I snored so much. What a shame my questionnaire wasn't there. Three hours of really bad apnea that clearly is even worse because that is how the home test is. It just shows the tip of the iceberg. My my my. I never slept with the equipment on. I recorded my not sleep session and never slept. I listened to it afterwards, seriously. Never slept. I especially loved the part of the report that said I was sitting up and had an apnea events during the test. I apparently sat up for 8 minutes and had numerous apnea and hypopnoea events. I did sit up at one point but I was searching for eye drops in the drawer next to the bed. Put the eye drops in and waited for my eyes to feel better. This is just a system to get your money for equipment whether you need it or not. What a waste of time and money. Won't ever get duped again by these people. Absolutely.

Very frustrated. Originally diagnosed here over 10 years ago. Had 2 unsuccessful attempts before they agreed to let me do the test at home. I only found out about that option through a friend, and had to ask for. So now I need an update so I can try a dental device instead of the CPAP. This was just to verify that I still have sleep apnea. I had to wait 5 months for the appointment, but I made it. This was just for a consultation, not a study! Unfortunately, I had unexpected surgery just before the appointment. When I called to reschedule, they told me the 1st available date for the reschedule was another 5 months! All they needed to do was get some readings off my machine! If you plan and going to this clinic, I hope you have time to wait. I thought the University of Rochester was the number one employer in Rochester. Guess they didn't hire enough at the sleep center. As another person said in a different review "fortunately they are not the only game in town". I'll be going elsewhere.
