Incredibly unprofessional. Your response to this is appalling. When someone is traveling over an hour away to see you and is nice enough to call and explain that they are running 10 minutes behind because of construction and your response is don't bother coming in it's absolutely ridiculous. I understand 💯 about inconvenienceing people but obviously your office doesn't. So it's not ok for someone to be curtious and call but is is ok for your office to be running 40 minutes behind and inconvenienceing others?? Got it. Your office and it's policies are ridiculous and the way you treat people is appalling. I would highly recommend people not come to this place. If you can't hold your office to the same standard you hold your patients than you're a joke. Do better and stop being hypocrites.
The only snafus I’ve experienced with this practice occurred during major computer outages/disturbances and during office-wide software change (explanations provided by staff). Computer and software matters were significant and inconvenient and did affect my mood. However, medical care and concern, as well as communications have been excellent.
After reading reviews, I'm not interested in an appointment at this particular facility. The responses left to the reviews are condescending, rude, and would have you believe everyone is lying. I see why problems are not resolved. I'll find a different specialist.
I made an appointment and called two days prior to cancel an appointment, but nobody answered. I left many voicemail messages and nobody called me back. I canceled the appointment the morning of while finally speaking with someone (I called, they did not call me back). 2 weeks later, I receive a bill for $25 for no-show / late cancel. The due date on the bill is five business days from the date the bill was received in the mail. Classy. I have called four times since receiving the bill and nobody answers. I left voicemail messages each time and nobody has called me back. I don't have a problem paying this $25 if they have this in writing and if my previous voicemail message indicating a cancellation is not sufficient based on their written policy, but I would like to speak with somebody in billing to inquire. They will not answer nor call me back. It is quite frustrating as I believe I have rights and should be able to speak with someone at the center for pulmonary and sleep to simply inquire about the charge and PAY THE BILL. It's ironic, and sad, that their voicemail greeting indicates that the call is important to them, yet it obviously is not. I can't even speak to anybody when calling the number on the bill to pay for it, let alone inquire about the charge. I've had numerous other bad experiences with center for pulmonary & sleep in the last year and a half. Whoever is in charge of this medical facility needs to evaluate the procedures and their mission to help their patients. Very sad state of affairs at this place. In my multiple experiences with the center for pulmonary & sleep center, I caution others. But, as leadership at the center for pulmonary and sleep knows, there is no where else to go for such medical issues, which can possibly explain why they don't have sufficient customer service or seem to care about their patients. Sad. UPDATE: The response by this office to "call them and speak to a manager" must either be a joke or from an unintelligent Artificial Intelligence bot. Well over 10 calls and finally someone called back - after I left more VMs indicating I spoke with Michigan's AG Consumer Protection division and planned to file a complaint against the center. I recently received a call from Amy at this sleep center. She was very friendly and resolved the issue. Too bad others there failed to act professionally from the get go. Ownership and Management - placing value on customer care and customer service should matter. Actions louder than words (their head shaking review response)
I wish there was a lower rating that I could give because I would have. My doctor sent a referral for me to be seen at this office. It was a long way out for an appointment which I do understand. By the time my appointment day came I had just suffered the loss of 3 family members within a month be of which was my younger brother. Needless to say the appointment was the last thing I was thinking about because I could barely handle everything mentally at that point. When I did realize it I called them and explained what had happened and asked to be rescheduled. They told me not without paying $100.00 first because I had missed my first appointment and not called them sooner to let them know. I again explained (by this time I was crying) I asked for the office manager and she was even more rude and told me when I paid the $100.00 dollars no sympathy or understanding of the devastating losses I had suffered back to back. It is sad that an office would operate this way. I understand for the people who chronically miss appointments but it was my first appointment that took months and months to come and I had extenuating circumstances and was already going through a lot. No empathy and no compassion. I could pay the money but it’s wrong and on principal alone I flat out refuse to do it.
