I would give 0 if I could. Do not go to JCMC for sleep tests. I should have read the previous review before I went there. There should be no at home sleep test cost more than $2000 and without any transparency or pre treatment notice. During the process, I was not informed at all regarding the test cost. The lack of transparency and communication was frustrating. The cost does not match the service provided. They used self home test tool provided by Wesper, which if you order online by yourself, only costs $75. Where does the rest of money spent? For reference, I checked the same procedure in NJ on the Fair Health Consumer website, even the out-of-network price is under $500. Save your time and money by choosing other facilities, and do not let them rip you off.

Do not go to the Center for Sleep Disorders at JCMC. I did an at-home sleep study last summer and was charged over $2000 for a simple test that could have been done for 1/4 of the cost at another facility. The center lacked transparency and provided poor customer service when I called to question the charges, bouncing me between billing and the facility multiple times without any helpful explanation or sense of patient care. My initial interactions with the center were very limited. My pulmonologist prescribed the at-home study, and I went to the center to pick up the at-home test. The technician had me watch a video on my phone about how to self-administer the test, which was very simple with clear instructions inside the kit. I spent maybe 10 minutes at the center with the technician walking me through the test kit before heading home and doing the test overnight and then mailing it back using the provided packaging. My insurance EOB then showed that the claim code mapped to a "brain wave eeg" test, which clearly was not what I had since the nodes were just connected to my torso with a pulse oximeter on my finger. I spoke with the center about the possible upcode, but after several call transfers and repeated conversations, they just rudely told me this is what it costs and their codes were definitely correct despite the discrepancy. Even after I went back to the doctor who ordered the test and told him the cost, he said it was absolutely ridiculous and that an at-home study should cost under $500. The customer service at the Center for Sleep Disorders at JCMC leaves much to be desired, and the charges were egregious for the amount of service that I actually received.

I'm so happy I didn't go by the negative reviews, for me I had no issues at the 410 location on Jersey avenue, the technician Mary was very attentive, answered any and all questions I had in regards to the test itself, the test was simple, got plugged in on a sleep data monitor, procedure was explained prior to the study , study room itself was comfortable, television had cable but not too many channels, nurse button was left out in case you need to use the bathroom. Upon completion of the test, wires are removed, your parking ticket is validated if you parked in a lot, and you're giving paperwork in regards to your follow-up Thanks Again 👍

I could honestly say there was only one employee on staff which is very unacceptable . I found the employee to be condescending and talk down to me. I’m fed up with health care employees who use the word relax without considering the patients emotions. I’m on the autism spectrum and while the employee who conducted the sleep study was professional and did her job well. I didn’t feel comfortable or or felt that she cared about me.
