My wife had right knee replacement surgery at United Hospital in June, then was transferred to River Falls Hospital in their “swing bed” program. She was there for 3 weeks and received the best care ever! Everyone, from the doctors and nurses to the PCTs treated her with kindness and compassion. She truly felt that she was special and she thrived in that environment!

I’m unsure if the ambulance crew is included in this review (they would have a 5 star). Once I arrived at river falls ed everything was slow paced. The nurse was slow, unfriendly, young and unhelpful (this was a Monday early evening), I was freezing, I was often left alone, while I could hear the medical team chit chatting about their later plans. Once the tech finally found a vein for blood draw, she said they would run that. After 45 min I was able to see results on my chart. I put the nurse light on, I’m ready to leave at this point. No critical labs, turned out it was a panic attack. I could not wait to get out of there. Nurse finally came back, slowly took Iv out and told me they’re waiting for more lab results. I see nothing else pending in chart. I wait another 15 min without any human interaction and decide I’m leaving. Not a soul would have noticed me walking out with my teenage son, but I interrupted the nurse who was talking to co workers about their plans to let them know I’ve waited long enough and leaving. She told me to hold on so I could sign a leaving ama, I waited and signed the paper. The whole episode was a joke, no healthcare was provided, but I guarantee my bill will be thousands for that. **edit** I have insurance through employer and after insurance my Ed bill was over $2900 out of pocket. I was inside the building less than an hour.

Every staff member that we encountered, was so very kind and considerate. The care was exceptional. The most compassionate people in healthcare. I thank them very much for the care they gave our mother in her time of need.

Do NOT bring your loved ones to this hospital!! Take the extra time to go to Hudson where you know your loved one will get what they need! The nurses and doctors here do not care about your well being. They don't even communicate with your family to let them know what is happening! They are not thorough or kind at all.

I was there for an out patient surgery. Took about 2.5 hours. I was treated great, always asked if I was okay. I got a great explanation of everything that was being done. I did my due and checked with my insurance company and the hospital so no hidden costs have come up yet. I will be back to see the great staff for my follow-up. I actually look forward to going back to this hospital.
