This is the worst hospital. Delay after delay after delay in getting tests done so that heart surgery can be scheduled. Very disappointed in how we are being treated. Inexcusable. My husband has been here since Friday morning 12/19 and still no date for surgery. Nothing done at all over the weekend here. And now delays continue! And this is the Gold Standard for cardiac care??????

We spent the better part of the day in the ICU. A very dear friend , family member , had gone into cardiac arrest last night. 12/15. A serious event causing severe damage. The staff was very understanding and helpful. Knowledgeable and accommodating. The bedside manner of Doctor Patel was impeccable and caring in a way I have not experienced. He has a grasp on dealing with people in a very difficult time. Thank you to all the people working very hard and still staying professional and caring.

Most dysfunctional team I've ever experienced. My 5 day stay was hell. As pertaining to my discharge, the medical team released me and had ordered my transportation before I was fully released. So I just walked out. They bullied me like I didn't have any insurance and just an overall bad experience. I really had high hopes for this location but the hide behind a great menu and nursing staff. Having a potluck for Thanksgiving pushed my surgery back 5 hours they could even get my name spelled correctly. No supplies sent home with me ,I will be reaching out to the director

Stayed here 3 days & although this hospital is better than some they didn’t have my HIV medications that my surgeon and his office assured they would & on their online portal my medications showed up but no nurse could find them on their systems. My catheter was taken out after my 3/4 hour surgery which led to swelling and 6 horrendous painful hours of not being able to urinate while being hooked up on an IV & no staff could comprehend why I was in pain. The first night nurse an Indian/Pakistani female didn’t take my concerns of not being able to urinate and was in pain seriously until the 6th hour when she finally suggested I walk which allowed me to urinate some. An African female night assistant argued I didn’t have a vagina making me feel discriminated on the first night of surgery while in pain, swollen and with no strength AND being hooked on an IV I needed help to use the bathroom. One Caucasian male night assistant seemed so annoyed that I needed help to and from the restroom he asked me why I wouldn’t clean myself. Without me knowing I had accidentally urinated myself due to being hooked on a water IV and staff wouldn’t come when needed. I was unaware I had wet myself and instead of him supplying clean sheets/ clean towels/ wet wipes/ clean robe he shamed me on my first night while in pain/swollen/ with no strength and hooked on an IV. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. Security downstairs were extremely polite and allowed me to wait in their lobby hours before the hospital opened. Reception staff was great and meeting my surgeon and his team was nice too except I would’ve preferred to have needles for IVs stuck on me while asleep and not awake. I could barely speak as my mouth had stitches and my face was really swollen yet I managed to convey my needs to staff efficiently. Things I hope this hospital can do moving forward for clients are: 1) do not remove catheter after 3/4 hour surgery because urinary gland will swell causing hours of pain, panic and hysteria so please inform nurses and assistants alike. 2) do not force patients who have face/ mouth stitches and severely swollen to have to call the hospital cafeteria with no cell phone to order their water diet meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. Practice common sense please. 3) PLEASE supply needed medication to patients otherwise you put their lives at risk further. 4) remind staff, nurses & assistants alike to remember that patients who are hooked up to IVs who have just had surgery need help so please keep drinking water/cup/straw/ wet wipes/ clean towels etc on tray next to their bed at their reach. As a patient I’m not there to aggravate you I’m there to recuperate with Surgeon’s orders otherwise I would’ve preferred being at home not feeling like a bother to anyone. Food was delicious and most staff was pleasant and professional.

I was sent to the ER and the doctor told me they don't want to help me(no medicine for insomia), and to go to your primary care doctor. My wife is a nurse and she told me they were either being racist towards me or they didn't want to do there job. No Healthcare heros in the ER. The ER staff wasn't rude or putting me down. However, the ER doctor (female)just seemed cold hearted or aloof towards me.The nurse, and the nurse practitioner (males)were fair to me. The female nurse was also nice, and didn't talk to me like I am a hood person; I am not making a lot of money to buy new clothes, but that doesn't mean I am unsophisticated. I try to be respectful to the health care workers. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the people in the 3rd floor (sleep study room) we're nice, professional, and respectful. Also, the staff in general are very smart and intellectual. I want to be fair. The ER felt like they didn't want to help me sleep. Being sleep deprived is so painful to me. I need help, not someone to give up on me and throw me in the streets to go to the subways sleep deprived ☹️
