Where do I start? 1. My doctor sent a referral early March but did not heat grom MS ( Mount Sinai/South Nassau). 2. Doctor sent another referral March 13, but by end of March was still not contacted. 3. I called MS and person said the delay was because insurance hadn't given authorization. I replied that had Medicare which doesn't require authorizations. Person then admitted noone had actually looked at the paperwork in the 2+ weeks they had it and the earliest appt they could give me was April 15. 4. It was an awful experience. I've been up since 4 a.m. but was told test wasn't officially over until 6. Tech wouldn't turn on light until test was over. 5. I was not provided with a call button ( I later noticed it hanging on the wall behind me ) . I started to sneeze , there were no tissues and tech did not respond to my calling out. Had to use the blanket. 6. The shower had no soap and no toothpaste was provided. 7. When 6 a.m. finally arrived, tech refused to turn on the light until she was ready to come in ( at 6:09) . 8. The TV had been left on by tech after I fell asleep; I woke up at 2 to a jacuzzi commercial which I couldn't turn off because I couldn't find the remote in the dark. At 3:15 I found it and turned tv off.
I am extremely frustrated with this sleep center! Dr. Ciccarelli recommended this sleep study center for my mom and I. This has been going on since January of this year!!!! They keep canceling just hours before our study stating the tech called out! Well, maybe it is time for new techs?!!! This is no way to run a business. Your techs are giving you a bad name! You have no idea what it is like to clear our schedules for this, only to be told, over and over again, at the last minute the tech called out. I am done with this center!!!! They should be embarrassed!
My doctor referred me here, since she isn't familiar with Long Island sleep centers. I never received a call from the center after the referral, and I called twice, but never got a return. Additionally their line was mostly busy or going to voicemail.
