Allina Health Lung and Sleep Edina

I recommend Dr.Kaye for pulmonary assessment. He is pleasant, knew my issues and testing in their first class testing facility were available when he came into the room. He did not rush me, he explained things to me, and I received the best information I have been given concerns the testing and what he recommends as care plan.

I was referred here by my cardiologist for a sleep study. When I called to schedule the appointment I stated again that this was a referral for a sleep study. Day of appointment the first thing they want to do are pulmonary tests. I thought this odd but have never had a sleep study before, so figured it was just part of the process. Then the doctor comes in and asks why I'm seeing a pulmonologist. So they clearly scheduled me for the wrong appointment and nothing in the notices I received stated that this was a pulmonology appointment, so no way to know until I'm sitting in the room with the doctor. He agreed that I needed a sleep study and told me they would be able to send me an at-home sleep study to complete. So I call the clinic after my appointment to request they send me the at-home sleep study. I'm told the Minneapolis office doesn't do this, but they can reach out to their Edina office and someone from Edina will contact me to get it sent out. I asked if I could just contact Edina myself and was told no. After a week or two I haven't heard anything, so I call the clinic again. This time I'm told I need to schedule a sleep consult (the consult they were supposed to have scheduled me for the first time!) in order to get a sleep study sent out, and first available appointment is 4 months out! At this point I'm upset because I've already paid for a consult I didn't need and am nowhere near getting the care I needed. I expressed my frustrations at having received the wrong appointment, having to pay for yet another appointment, and having to wait now several more months for the care I need. Receptionist apologizes and says she'll elevate my concerns within the office and someone will contact me soon to discuss. It's been months and I never heard from them again. The doctor was nice, but the office staff is just absolutely terrible. Either my concerns weren't elevated or office management didn't want to be bothered. This is so frustrating when you're already worried about your health, just trying to get the care you need, then end up paying for care you don't need, and have to keep calling just to end up getting no help at all. I recommend going anywhere else for your care.

Dr. Mehboob, Nephrologist was well prepared for my visit, professional, respectful, kind, knowledgeable, and immediately put me at ease. I left my appointment with a clear understanding of my plan of care and next steps. He answered all of my questions clearly. I highly recommend Dr. Mehboob for a kidney specialist!

Each and every member of the staff are very friendly & pleasant. They are highly skilled with excellent communication skills. I feel welcomed and comfortable, heard and understood, supported and...in as much as possible & realistic... Hopeful. If you need help with your lungs ~ I cannot think of warmer place to face the fear. Yeah, I hear it too. I sound like a paid advert. I assure you that I am not. I am a 63 year old woman with COPD lacking the motivation (brains!) to flipping quit smoking! Real smart, huh But my chances are increasing ... Being in the right place helps

I found everyone to be aware of my issues and they all seemed to really want to help me with those issues....kind, caring, considerate, knowledgable. And they knew my history!! That's always a huge plus.
