Horrible care! Couldn’t get my daughters IV in THREE TIMES to the point she squirted blood, I’m a CNA, and if you know anything about IVS if the patient squirts blood it means you have hit a vein, or worse and more than likely an artery…! But I would NEVER loose my temper at a staff member trying to save my daughter, if you’ve done that honestly SHAME ON YOU! However, I did request another nurse to do it, her name was whatever at this point, and once we asked she was rude to us, questioning why we even requested an IV, ( turned out our daughter had RSV, and Covid) it was HELL, if I were you GO TO RIVERSIDE CHILDRENS, BEST care after we got her transferred and comfy and SAFE
Do not go here. Their billing department is the worst I have ever dealt with. Not one bill shows accurate information, on payments or total. Every bill after payment was incorrect. Basic operators via phone refuse to answer balance information. Will not connect you to supervisor at all.
We love everything about Gillette except how dangerous their parking ramp is. The cross walk is around the corner and cars go through there so fast we were almost hit. There is one sign up on the ceiling stating there is an upcoming cross walk. It’s barely noticeable.
I moved from Florida to have a surgery done at Gillette for my daughter with CP. She had a surgery about five years ago and the aftercare has been wonderful! Her surgeon Dr. Georgiotis did a beautiful job. He explained everything in detail. He has great bedside manner, and has treated us very well over the years. We also enjoyed our stay there which included a one week stay after the surgery, and another 4 to 5 weeks stay for her inpatient.
If I could remember everyone’s names from start to finish of our 24 hour stay I would certainly give thanks to them all. Every single staff member we came across was beyond kind and helpful. My daughter and son had amazing experiences and they actually have BRAGGED about surgery to their little 4 and 2 year old friends. You guys made everything so easy. I was beyond impressed with everyone however I’d like to give one specific shout out to Megan a PICU RN that was spending her time in the Rehab unit. She was our first nurse to attend to our recovery room with my son for his 24 hour stay. My son loved her and she was GREAT with him. Made sure she got to know him, showered him with love, and constantly was his cheerleader. Hoping she receives some sort of recognition or more for her excellent patient care.
