The nurse who took my vitals was extremely helpful and kind. I forgot my cpap machine and she called and got the information from Corner Medical. She also wished me a happy early Birthday. Dr. Amber Baumann was extremely knowledgeable, answered my questions and was friendly as well. You can tell she really cares about her patients.
Absolute horrible joke. Good luck finding a parking spot anywhere near this office, or within a 3 block radius. If you're a few minutes late expect the appointment you just waited 4 months for to be denied or moved another 4 months out so you can again find nowhere to park.
Months to get appointment. Made me do an in home study when I requested inpatient. Didn't get results for a month and they never contacted me back with the results. I called to ask about them twice and they assured me they would be calling me. I then go to my primary doctor and tell them I'm not getting results. They harass the sleep center and tell them to call me, which they still don't do, they just send a mail merge message outlining the results and a copy paste solution without ever talking to me.
Had an in home sleep study and no follow-up. Did an in-home sleep study which had to be rescheduled twice because I’m a night shifter and they couldn’t understand that I sleep during the day. Talked to a PA a month after the study and he told me I snore loudly and therefore have sleep apnea. Got a c-pap machine two months after that and was told there would be a follow up in 3 months to go over the stats from the machine and adjust the settings. I’ve been waiting a year and a half for that appointment. In the meantime, I’ve had to call and email to get my settings adjusted to a lower pressure because what they had me at, the pressure was so high it was forcing my mouth open and I was drooling. My wife has also told me that she has never heard me snore and even when I’ve recorded myself while sleeping i have not heard me snore. However, my dog snores and I’m sure that’s what picked up on the sleep study since he sleeps next to me. I use the c-pap most days, but only for about 4 hours since I hate breathing warm air and end up taking it off. According to the stats on the machine. I have less than 0.3 apneas per hour. So glad I paid over $400 for a machine I don’t need for a condition I don’t have.
VERY Impressed! This was my first sleep assessment and I wasn't sure what to expect. When I arrived at 8pm Kirsten buzzed me in and explained the entire process. The room was large and comfortable with a big bathroom. The bed was a Sleep Number brand and very comfortable. Cable TV with many channels was also provided as well as water and juices. The 'wiring' that was attached to me looked a little like the insides of a robot, but again, Kirsten explained the entire procedure and answered all of my questions. I was able to sleep fairly well and the attached 'wires' were thin enough that they really didn't prohibit me from sleeping in multiple positions throughout the evening. I would tell anyone with a sleep issue to go to the Fairview Sleep Center in Edina-the staff are very professional and polite and the rooms are very clean! Kirsten was the perfect person to work with!
