The Sleep Center is a joke at best and dangerous at worst. HCMC is overall an excellent medical facility. I was surprised at how bad the Sleep Center was because of this. They misdiagnosed me having restless leg syndrome (no blood work on iron levels, just observation). Mark Rosenblum, their CBT-I "specialist", is a poor listener, offers little to no explanation of what is behind the treatment other than poor analogies, and shows no sense of pragmatism in the treatment plan for CBT-I. Most of what I learned about CBT-I, I learned from the internet. My sleep went from bad to extremely bad following his regime. I finally had to just stop as I had become physically ill as a result of his "care". Stay far, far away from him and the HCMC Sleep Center. There are plenty of better places to go in the Twin Cities.
If it is possible to give this center a zero, I would. The staff especially at the front desk at the sleep center is very rude and lacks empathy. She has a short temper and unapproachable. Our resident started the process of a sleep study which took about 2 weeks. The process was cancelled last minute because they are short staffed and she kept insisting that they need their equipment back immediately. We tried asking to see if they was a way to have it done so we can work with what we already started but NOPE. What an apology.
