First impressions are unfavorable: waiting room is dingy, bare, and uncomfortable.. Encounter with Dr Tikha was negative .Poor communication skills and no warmth.

Just had my first appt. Dr. Trikha was very pleasant and professional. I have been a CPAP user for 7 years, with no clinical follow up because frankly doctors and other sleep centers don't care. CNY Pulm nurse and physician did a thorough job, discussed my current status and put together a plan that includes monitoring and follow up adjustments as necessary. This is very unusual these days. Very glad I was sent their way.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. We contacted this office after receiving repeated letters claiming they had been unable to reach us to schedule a first appointment. Each time we tried calling, we waited on hold for nearly an hour—only to finally speak with someone who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but her customer service was appalling. To make matters worse, she casually mentioned that an appointment had already been made without ever confirming it with us. She completely ignored the fact that the office is sending out letters warning patients they aren’t answering calls—when in reality, it’s clear no calls were ever made. We screen all our calls, and outside of these letters, we have never received a single outreach attempt. It feels as though the office has chosen to rely on long hold times and incoming patient calls rather than doing the work to reach out themselves. That is both negligent and deeply frustrating. I used to be a patient here years ago and had even referred a friend, but the practice has gone so far downhill since then. The customer service is now so abysmal that I genuinely would have been better off talking to a wall. Even if the doctors are good, they are being represented like garbage. Patients deserve better, and there are plenty of other doctors in the area whose staff respect people’s time and treat them with basic decency. Disgusting.

Guilt tripping the patient is a red flag! how difficult is to leave a voicemail to the patient if you couldn’t reach the patient? unprofessional and un necessary act, to the people on the desk! our phones are not a necklace we wrap it around our necks!

The Doctor entered my room without looking at any of my forwarded documents (sleep study, and lung X-ray) and proceeded to diagnose me with COPD unspecified? I wasn’t even sure at the time what he was diagnosing me with, though my pulmonary function test indicated reduced lung function. I don’t smoke, and never have-which he seemed not to believe. He prescribed some inhalers and suggested I have an in-house sleep study in the office lab. When I said I had already had a sleep study and handed him the hard copy, he told me that that particular test was not good. When I also handed him my x-ray of a chronic collapsed left lung, he looked at it for about 10 seconds and handed it back to me and said it was “nothing” I spent the next 10 days trying to get a copy of his notes and diagnosis to my primary and Rheumatologist. The front office LIED to myself and my other doctor offices repeatedly about the notes being sent, when the truth was that he went on vacation and hadn’t even written the notes. When the notes were finally completed, there was clearly a copy and paste about a discussion that we had that never occurred. (Don’t forget to change the “he” to a “she” next time!) My RA PA ordered a chest CT which found no evidence of COPD, and I still have no idea as to the reduced lung function, but have lost total faith in this office and am being referred elsewhere for a second opinion. Also, as previous reviewers, I called asking for a nurse to call me back with questions, and never received any call backs after several attempts. I cancelled the in lab sleep study, as I believe it was simply a money grab, and am going with my in home test prescribed earlier by my primary.
