Some of the most incompetent staff in the county. Went in over a year ago with knee pain was only given PT and a knee brace. Amery took care of it this year. Went in two months ago with difficulty swallowing when I brought up my concerns about cancer the ER doctor said and I quote "your too young to get cancer" went to Amery for Gastroenterologist and found out??? YOU GUESSED IT CANCER OF THE ESOPHAGUS!!! Get your staff better trained and more competent otherwise you will end up killing someone
My clinic doesn’t do the cardiac calcium CT scan, so went the St Croix. What a mistake. The Radiology staff was very good for the test. Unfortunately I had to wait 18 days for my DR.to gave the results scanned to him. I called 3 times( you can’t talk to a person) so left messages to please send results to no avail. I wouldn’t recommend this facility.
Don't go here for cancer treatment. Possibly being a smaller hospital they are not updated on the latest information regarding cancer treatment. At the start my wife went through chemo here which is tough no matter what but it was made worse by the narrow view that the type of chemo and amount that was being administered was the only way. The doctor (we will not name) had an agenda and did not listen to my wifes concerns after getting deathly sick and if she would have continued the treatment as pushed I know it would have killed her quicker than the cancer. Long story short the last straw after being unable to function for weeks was she had to go to the emergency room after throwing up for hours and severely dehyrated. We ended the treatment with Saint Croix Falls hospital after meeting with her doctor who said she didn't know what to do next. She opted for treatment at the U of M where she received very kind attention where they listened to her, examined all the records extensively, did several other tests to find out what really would work better for her situation, and developed a plan. After the plan was implemented they called often to check on her making sure all was going well. Something that we were not used to but were very happy about. With the treatment she received at the U of M she could still fuction close to normal instead of being unable to funtion hardly at all and bed ridden. She is now cancer free. Between the latest equipment and the more extensive experience and knowledge at the U of M we will not go anywhere else at least for things involving life or death.
I would give ZERO stars if I could!! Have been going to St. Croix Health for 10 years and NEVER had such TERRIBLE service until this year! Went to see Dr. Amy Haupert on June 28 for knee pain. She thought I should get pt and an Ortho consult. I've been WAITING for 32 day for the Ortho consult. Been passed around ST. Croix system...NEEDLESS to say NO ONE seems to know how to get a referral to the VA!!
I cut my finger and called to let them know that I was going to be coming in to be checked. I ended up getting four stitches and the staff was great. They were ready for me when I got there and went right back to a room. Wasn't long and I was stitched up and on my way home. Great staff that was very friendly and helpful. They really looked out for my wellbeing.
