The doctors are very kind. But the office staff is horrific. The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. Long story short I was eventually unable to use my cpap and went to turn it in and she said no and referred me to another line to call. That line began berating me saying I was supposed to turn it in. So she’s not only rude but she’s bad at her job. Would not recommend
Edit: Recieved phone call from Sleep Disorders Center of Connecticut Milford today 8/18/2025. Mind you I had no contact with them since my last visit. Never addressed my concerns, or called for over a year later but today threaten me of receiving no supplies if I don't continue with them and the staff is argumentative smh. It is difficult to speak about the positive aspects of this medical facility when their business dealings are suspect. I expressly asked if my health insurance covers the procedure I was doing and was told it was also that it would be ZERO copay. Guess what? I received a invoice for 6 copays and when I called I was told they would check into it. I am still waiting for the office to return my call. My suggestion is not to trust the front desk when they say what your responsibility is. Have them tell you before you go how much in writing.
Staff on-site is fine, but extremely shady business practices. Was told the visit would be $500 deposit and they wanted me to sign a form stating I give them authorization to automatically charge anything over that amount whenever the bill comes in. I refused to sign it. Later found out they billed my insurance for a significantly lower amount, seemingly pocketed the difference, then refused for months to refund me the difference, saying they "send (any overages) out at the end of the year". After months of fighting, finally got the amount back. Avoid this place.
Wish I read reviews first as well. Staff/billing/admin are miserable! They make everything from scheduling to billing very difficult and something about the place seems shady. I would NOT recommend to an enemy. Called billing at 3:20 on June 25 to close account and spoke with "Tabby" but had to ask twice for her name. Find another place if you can!
The medical staff are very pleasant, patient, and helpful, but admin and billing made things hell for me. I was told an overnight sleep study/following day nap study would be $20 for me - I’d been clear about my worry over cost in the past, and I even asked the woman over the phone to clarify when I was told $20 because I was so surprised and wanted to be sure. When I went in for the tests, I only had to pay $20. AFTER I completed the studies, I was billed an additional $1600+, which I was never told about before. I tried to get to the bottom of the discrepancy when I went in for my follow-up and again via phone, and was told that the woman who’d told me $20 no longer worked there, and that all I could do was call billing and call my insurance. In the end, nothing could be done and I was stuck paying an additional $1600+ I was not informed of BEFORE I did the study. This was extremely stressful for me; I’m in my early 20s, and at the time had only just started my first job and was also paying for grad school. I did not have the money for this, and would have declined if I had known the cost would be so high. Additionally, once or twice I was billed multiple times for single follow-up visits. Once I called billing to ask what the deal was, and it turned out they hadn’t processed my initial payment yet, 2-3 weeks after I had made the payment, and thus I was continuing to get notice of an outstanding balance. Receptionists over the phone are also quite dismissive/rude - I recently called with a question, and the tone I received was a bit unprofessional, and I was hung up on in the middle of wishing her a good day. As other reviews have noted - transparency and communication at this place are a joke; stay away.
