If I could give a -100 , I WOULD! This facility, their ER, their incompetent "doctors" , their useless physical therapy , and primary doctors, through MONTHS AND MONTHS OF NOT LISTENING TO US.. helped to contribute to the prolonged SUFFERING AND MISDIAGNOSIS of my husband's SPINE CANCER... because NO ONE TOOK THE TIME TO EXAMINE HIM CORRECTLY, or take any bloodwork, or any radiology scans, WHICH WE REPEATEDLY asked for.. Their physical therapy department gave him excersises that FRACTURED HIS SPINE because NO ONE CORRECTLY READ OR DIAGNOSED AN MRI that was done a month earlier.. NO ER DR TOOK HIS PAIN SERIOUSLY.. just continually sent him away like he was just an old man who couldn't handle some simple back pain due to aging.. One young incompetent ER DR, some Doogie Hauser-aged genius, sent him home, after NO workup.. stating he'd "JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT" due to his age.. Another visit, One Dr gave him prednisone & sent him on his way, Another visit,One just gave him painkillers & sent him home, .. Another visit, a pain management provider, misdiagnosed his pain, telling us it was "just his ribs, not his spine" while YANKING HIM BY HIS ARM off of an examination table, causing him to scream out in pain... All the while, HIS PRIMARY DR, BLEW US OFF over and over..ignoring scan after scan, month after month.. calls from us of the horrible pain he was in (because they were "too busy to fit him in") MISDIAGNOSED OVER & OVER... NEVER DOING BLOODWORK that would have caught the cancer, NEVER DOING ANOTHER SCAN that would have caught a fractured vertebrae.. or the cancerous LESIONS ON HIS SPINE... Eventually we went to a hospital elsewhere that DIAGNOSED HIM WITH A FRACTURE TO HIS VERTEBRAE AND STAGE 4 METASTATIC SPINE CANCER!! ( Which he DIED from 3 WEEKS LATER) THANK YOU COBLESKILL FOR CONTRIBUTING TO ALL THE PAIN AND SUFFERING MY HUSBAND WENT THROUGH FOR MONTHS DUE TO YOUR LACK OF COMPASSION AND INCOMPETENT DOCTORS AND THEIR MISDIAGNOSES, WHO TREAT THE ELDERLY WITH SUCH BLATANT DISREGARD AND INSENSITIVITY. THEY SHOULD ALL BE FIRED
I’ve had two surgeries here and I had to bring an old lady who face planted on the street in for an emergency. Everyone was GREAT. Dr.Grithith? Fantastic. Nurse Stacey? Awesome. Penny in the payment department? Goes above and beyond.
Had lab work done that needed to be sent to my surgeon. Three weeks later it still has not been sent. Wrong number listed on the web site for the hospital. Does anyone know what they are doing or how to do it?
worst hospital I ever been to, nurse and doctor looked at me like an idiot. Nurse told me if i was in so much pain I should just medicate myself and never took my temperature and put the blood pressure on my arm too tight, the doctor took 2 hours to come see me and wasn’t even in the room for more then 10 minutes. They didn’t have a definitive answer as to what my pain was and just gave me meds for uti and told me they won’t know what the actual problem is till Sunday didnt let my boyfriend in either made him wait outside. Doesn’t even deserve one star.
On March 3rd, I went to Cobleskill ER after a fall at home. This was the closest ER from my home. They were quite busy. I had a nasty cut on my arm that definitely needed stitches. The nursing staff was excellent, but the Doc I saw was.......what word can go above and beyond excellent? Dr Peter Ahn.....I cannot thank you enough for the amazing job you did stitching what was literally a jigsaw puzzle back together. This Doc deserves 20 stars for his professionalism, patience and talent. My arm was enough of a mess that he recommended I see a plastic surgeon. I called the next day and had an appointment scheduled with Dr Slaughter in Latham, Friday of that week. When I saw Slaughter, the first question he asked was "Who stitched this"? He then said, "I would normally say I could have done a better job stitching this, but.......whomever did this.....did an AMAZING job". He said he could tell that they took their time piecing everything back together. Of course I showed him pictures of the arm before stitching. He then asked what hospital I went to. I told him it was Cobleskill ER and was my first experience there. He was quite impressed and said that it was such a great job that I probably wouldn't even need plastic surgery. It appeared to him that the tissue Dr Ahn thought may not survive, was doing very well. I told him it took Dr Ahn over an hour to put in 20 stitches. Dr Slaughter said he could tell he placed each one strategically and used great care. Today I am 3 weeks out from this injury and my arm is doing very well. I'm sure I will have scarring, but I thanked God it was not my face since I literally face planted in the snow! So.....Dr Peter Ahn.....THANK YOU SO MUCH for the EXCELLENT job you performed on my arm!!!! Perhaps YOU should consider plastics Sir!!!
