I had a good experience here. The staff and provider were very courteous. The study provider was knowledgeable and was easy to understand. It's very important to note that the entrance to the practice is on the West side of the building and not in the main entrance. Otherwise you'll get lost. It's very handicapped accessible including parking, entrance, restroom and exam room. They do require appointments and they book out several months for an initial visit.
Choose a different sleep center. We waited 5 months for an appointment for my daughter. The morning of our appointment, I received a call that it was cancelled and was offered an appointment four months out. Do not waste your time here.
Told me to show up the day after christmas after messing up my original appointment in october having to pick up equipment at 7pm. Then gave me less than 24 hours to return the equipment or I would be fined, tell me the results would be in 3-7 business days. It's been an entire month, they don't pick up or return calls. Some of THE worst service i've seen, but it's becoming more common here in Albany.
No contact from sleep center after study. After about six weeks I got a call from a sketchy DME outfit based in Ohio, saying I had to give them my credit card in order to get an appointment with someone locally to get a CPAP. I refused to deal with people like that. I asked Albany Med Sleep Center to give me the prescription, which they refused. I had to settle for their promise to fax the RX to a locally based company. That was three weeks ago--It has not yet been received by my chosen supplier. As a patient, I get to choose where I go for care--I don't appreciate the sleep center referring me out to some jokers in Ohio!
Was told it would be 7-10 business days to receive my sleep study results. It has taken 5 and a half weeks! Not to mention the 6 weeks I waited for the appointment and now the 3 extra weeks to see a specialist after my diagnosis! The actual appointment itself went well, though and the staff member that night was very friendly and helpful! EDIT: Received my full results in the mail the following week. According to the date, they were complete and ready for me one week after my study. So why did it take me another month for any information? Awful!
