I was referred for insomnia. I was given a virtual appointment with Danielle Dziol (if that's the correct spelling). The appointment was rushed and I felt as if I was on an assembly line, expecting this practioner to yell "next!" for the next patient. The whole question/answer portion was related to the possibility of sleep apnea. It was extremely opaque. I was not told what screening tool was being used or what the rating scale was. I scored a 6, which warranted, according to this practioner, aninhome sleep study. She stated that if everything was good with the in-home study they would recommend an in-hospital sleep study. This made no intuitive sense. What is the point, if all along it's expected I would end up doing the hospital study? I did not feel like I was in competent hands. If in the future my doctor recommends a sleep study for sleep apnea, I won't go to this practice.
Since Joan Bach retired I have noticed poor performance. I met with Dr Islam (?) by video conference in early May. He said he was sending in order for bipap machine that day. After waiting 3 weeks, Regional Home said they were waiting for Medicare. After 4.5 weeks I called Baystate Sleep. They took 4 days to get back to me to say they never sent Regional Home my sleep study results. So my therapy was delayed for over 5 weeks because they didn't properly send materials to Regional Home.
