The rudest hospital staff I’ve ever met and I’ve been to a lot of hospitals. Clearly they hate their lives and take it out on patients who are suffering from terrible issues hence why we are at neurology. These people should not be able to work at any kind of job that involves customer service. They are so rude and antagonistic.

Had a seizure last week and was told to press a button to alert the nurses- THE BUTTON DID NOT WORK AND I HAD A SEIZURE. I’ve had SO many issues with this hospital but this last stay was the last straw for me. This followed by several miscommunications between the EEG department tracking my seizures, the actual DOCTORS and nurses, this has brought me nothing but stress. I am actually at home still recovering from this emotionally and physically. This stressed me out that I had 2 seizures and am constantly twitching. They made things worse. At least I got my seizure recorded. They’re lucky my seizure was small and I didn’t die or else they’d be sued. Do NOT GO HERE. IF YOU HAVE LOVED ONES DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.

The communication between the care team members/staff at BMC was the worst I’ve ever seen. I arrived for testing (after waiting months for this appointment) only to discover that they do not carry out testing on site and that only now would they be sending orders for testing to the other location (to be scheduled months from now) Additionally, I was transferred without my knowledge to a new doctor who had no understanding of what had happened previously. To her credit she did try to contact me prior to the appointment, but never cancelled the appointment. When I checked in for my apt she did not have the curtsey to come to the waiting room to tell me that there was no point in my being here. Instead she called me from her office and told me on the phone. I took off work to be at this appointment, took an hour bus ride to get there, and ended up wasting an hour and a half. The doctor apologized but made no efforts to correct the situation. I walked away throughly disappointed and feeling like my time was not respected. Also I had a follow up appointment scheduled for the following week to review test results. The doctor said she had no appointment in the system 🤦🏻‍♀️
