Summary: Profits over patients. It’s a roulette wheel on service, with some staff helpful, but most seemingly disinterested and just getting through the day. While I’m sure they get asked the same questions over and over and over…sorry, new patient…how am I supposed to know? It’s laughable that they charge for parking…in Burlington…with nothing but strip malls and parking lots surrounding the space. Gross business practice.

My dad had to get hernia surgery but the doctors treated him like he was a prince. When we left after dropping him off, they would call us almost every hour to tell us how he’s doing. Even his surgeon called us!!!!! This is the best hospital ever!!!! Doctors and workers are the nicest people ever. Such good service and surgery. I definitely recommend.

This may be the best hospital I’ve ever been to. If you sort through many of the reviews, a lot seem to be about billing, but my review is solely about the exceptional medical care I received. I had open heart surgery performed by Dr. Shaker, and he and his entire team are truly top-tier. Dr. Shaker’s skill is remarkable, and the level of care from his team was outstanding. I was in the hospital for about a week, and even after I was discharged, I could call his team at any time over the following four weeks and receive almost immediate responses—just as if I were right there in person. I’m incredibly grateful to Lahey Hospital for everything they’ve done for me, from Dr. Shaker’s team to the HCM Clinic. If you have complicated heart issues, I would feel completely confident putting your care in their hands.

I had a great experience at Lahey Hospital. Dr. Arkonac and her team took excellent care of me. Special shout out to the nurses in the cath lab and ep clinic for making me feel well cared for. Julie in cath lab was wonderful. Hopefully never have to return for another ablation, but if I do I’m going to lahey.

I wish I could somehow tell every human I interacted with during my time there but I’m not sure how. If someone reads this they probably won’t remember me. But I would like to say thank you. Thank you to everyone person there. You all made such a difference to me. From janitors to nurses and doctors and therapists and every other single person, thank you. You were kind and caring and helped me get through the toughest moments of my life. I always felt like a person. When I couldn’t talk or breathe or eat or use the bathroom, I still felt seen and cared for. Thank you to each and every one of you. You matter. It may not feel like it as you go to work every day. But you do, you matter a hell of a lot to a lot of people in need. So thank you, from the depths of my soul, thank you.
