The doctors are not flexible it's almost impossible to communicate with them I had to call because from Cpap machine y pressure was going so high it was popping my eardrums out I asked the doctor cut the pressure in half and create a fixed pressure from my CPAP machine she came up with every excuse why she couldn't do that but then when I called back they acted like they were going to. Instead they doubled the air pressure and I think they seriously injured my hearing I'm hearing bells and a whistling sound in my ears they were popping it was so painful you can't trust the CPAP machine and you need a doctor that's going to regulate the air flow and be readily available Stanford is never readily available for anything! To protect your health avoid this Clinic they're simply just not communicative and not available.
My recent appointment with Dr. Shaun Seibold was, by far, one of the worst and most unprofessional healthcare experiences I have ever had. I was visiting Dr. Seibold to discuss my ongoing challenges with obstructive sleep apnea. During our conversation, I asked if an updated sleep study might be a reasonable next step, given that my last study was conducted over four years ago. Dr. Seibold's immediate response to this question was, "What, do you think you're a doctor?" I was completely taken aback and deeply offended by this hostile and dismissive remark. I believe that being an informed and knowledgeable participant in one's own healthcare is essential. This single comment immediately derailed the entire visit, making it impossible to have a productive discussion about my desire to either optimize my current CPAP therapy or explore other options. His reaction to a simple suggestion was so hostile that I felt my only "option" was to go home and continue to struggle. To make matters worse, Dr. Seibold later sent a follow-up letter to my primary care physician that was filled with misquotes, factual inaccuracies, and outright lies about our interaction. The letter also contained numerous spelling and grammatical errors. A patient should never be belittled or met with hostility for attempting to discuss their care or ask about a standard diagnostic test. The entire experience was unprofessional and deeply concerning. Due to the severity of this interaction and the subsequent inaccurate documentation, I have filed a formal complaint with Patient Relations.
As always when I come into Sanford Sleep Specialists, I felt validated, listened to & heard, all questions answered, & after 2 years my sleep is stable & consistent with correct RX+good sleep architecture+melatonin gummy my Neurologist recommended for returning to sleep when awakened during the night. I no longer need to be seen referred back to my awesome PCP & Neuro both with Sanford Health. All needs met promptly & compassionately. Seen earlier than my appointment time & back to Grand Forks quickly with reassurance that all is well no changes needed from clinic or myself. Thank you for such wonderful care.
I went to Amanda Pratt at the Sleep Clinic. I would highly recommend her. She was so thorough and listened to my concerns. She made me feel so comfortable. She went above and beyond and answered all of my questions.
I would be more than happy to change this review if I have it wrong or I get a better answer. The care I received was top notch. Loved my doctor and the process of learning about my sleep apnea. My life is completely different now, all for the better. However, the billing has been an absolute nightmare. I can deal with the nuisances of insurance companies and how complicated that can be, and it was a major pain. Healthcare is complicated and we have all grown accustomed to that, as horrible as that sounds. However, the final straw came when I went in for a routine visit to update my prescription (which could be a whole rant in its own. Why do I need a prescription for tubing or water dishes?) I was billed twice for that day. I had no tests done just a visit with the doctor about how things were going. The best answer I got is that because they are located in a facility that does testing I am to be billed twice. One for the visit and one for a facility fee. I would never have gone to the appointment being as everything was going great. They could have just renewed my prescription for my CPAP. Instead, I am on the hook for $600 for the visit and another $300 for the parts I got. Walking in that door cost me $900 AFTER INSURANCE. How are you not going to warn someone a simple conversation with minimal, if any, changes is going to cost them $600-$900. This could have been a phone call or My Chart message. Walking in the door is an instant double charge. This is nothing more than a money grab, scam, and breaching on theft. I am not sure what’s stopping people from just ordering these parts online and skipping the prescription process all together.
