I was taken to Speare after a fall. The emergency dept took me quickly and I was attended by a doctor, nurses, and aides. Everyone was incredibly kind. They kept me informed and followed up clearly and and as quickly as possible.
I went to Speare Memorial Hospital in severe stomach pain after bleeding and vomiting, I passed out! Luckily my husband was with me! I have only wonderful things to say about my experience! Right away doctor came in, ordered IV for fluids, CT scan, blood work. Such a lovely, calm, soft spoken doctor decided they were going to admit me! My husband and my daughter there so that really helped! I wish I knew doctors name but I was in to much pain! I had such wonderful people taking care of me! Dr. Benhorma was absolutely amazing! I received so many IV antibiotics, I couldn’t tell you how many! The pneumonia I had, after all the time not feeling well for so long at home I finally started to feel myself, thanks to Dr. Benhorma and his expertise! I also must say Christine my wonderful kind nurse was so gentle and knowledgeable, I will never forget her, she’s a treasure!! Bill from pharmacy and I had great conversations that helped me so much and sweet Megan Who was just so kind! I want to thank you all and especially to Dr. Benhorma who knew exactly how to make me well again! I recommend this hospital wholeheartedly! Everyone was kind, efficient! This hospital ran so smoothly! Thank you all🙏
I recently went to the ER at Speare and was admitted to the Hospital. I had pneumonia. I have pulmonary fibrosis so it was a scary experience. The ER was great. Dr F is wonderful and his team is super they were with me within seconds and helped a lot. They got me stabilized and off to the the patient floor in the PM. Dr Patel was very helpful and got my condition under control as were all the nurses. I cannot remember names but two Thornton residents, Janet and Charlie are great. Thanks for being there and making me feel at home. It brought wonderful memories of my time in Thornton back. The Resp Dept helped me get home safely. I think that was Mike. He made sure I had the right machine. The one I had was not going to work it he took time to make sure I was safe. Thank you everyone from Speare. The food was great too!!! Also an nice young man from the desk got me a great Speare Water Bottle I am using now. It works great at home and is big. Thanks for that as well. Tim Tyler 11 River Ridge Road Plymouth NH
Terrible service and unfair billing practices. I went to their walk-in clinic when I was sick. PA walked in room and said they don't do anything for colds less than 10 days. I said, I should leave then. She said then I would not be billed if I left without an evaluation. I got a bill for full treatment. I disputed it and was willing to pay a portion. I was told by billing department that because I was 'evaluated' i had to pay the full amount even though I was not treated at all. I won't be using them again.
I was fortunate enough to have been seen by DrJameson S. Boswell in the Speare ER on Monday. He and the staff, especially Charlie, gave me excellent care. Visits to the ER are never pleasant but Charlie and Dr Boswell made my husband and I feel comfortable during their discovery, lab and image readings, and eventually excellent action plan. I followed their instructions and I am feeling much better. I have great respect for the Speare medical team. I am also grateful for this nearby community hospital where patient care is a top priority.
