My appointment for my 3 year old was at 2:40 for a consultation on 10/21 . mind you I checked in at 2:15 . they did not call us back until 3:28, waited in the room for 2 hours . I literally was not seen until 5:00 p.m. by the head doctor just to have a simple conversation that lasted 30 seconds. Then waited another 30 mins for them to schedule an appointment! We wasted a total of 3 hours and 20 mins to schedule my 3 year old a sleep study. I let them know how upset I was about the wait, they said i can leave but they would have to reschedule and that id have to do it all over again! I had class that night at 6 pm and live on the other side of town. They did not care at all and said that the wait time is not normal. So unprofessional. It was hard to keep my son entertained for that long and they did not offer me a note for my class that night. Ridiculous expect a 3 hour wait here for a 30 sec interation with a "doctor." I would not go back here if I did not need to fufill my 3 year olds medical needs!
Extremely poor organization, long wait times for serious medical needs, and uncaring and rude staff brought you down to 1 star. However, Dr. Nhan Li Dinh went way out of her way to make sure I was taken care of, and was extremely polite and patient of me and my hearing disability. She brought you up to 4 stars, so thank her for that. If we were scoring you individually, she would easily get 5/5 stars, but your rude staff and long wait times don't get a "free pass". Must do better.
Don't bother calling in the morning, you get a recording that they are busy and to try again later and then get hung up on. Don't bother calling in the afternoon, you'll get a recording that their clinic is now closed. I was told by a tech that they finally got some doctors in the clinic. Prior to that, it was only admin and techs and they were paging doctors who worked in other facilities. I saw a PA there who was one of the worst healthcare providers I've seen. Completely inept. Not UNMH's finest.
Was referred by my primary. It took about a year before hearing anything back. I then filled out the new patient paperwork just to be told I would be called back later that day to schedule an appointment. I never heard back after weeks of waiting and emailed/called, but nobody returned my emails or calls. Very unprofessional, I will not be going with these people as they are very rude, unprofessional and would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time with this place. Save your energy, stress, time and look elsewhere.
They need to get it together. They're very unorganized. Expect a long wait time every time you go. They told me to arrive early. I did and still ended up waiting over an hour. They scheduled me for a follow-up appointment, but called two days prior to the appointment to let me know they overbooked the slot. I had waited a while for the appointment, and they wanted to reschedule me a week out. When it came teletherapy appointment arrived, I had to call to get them to send me a link. They said they were short-staffed and couldn't tell me when they would be able to see me, but I could reschedule if I couldn't wait. When they finally called me again about my appointment (40 mins later), they said my results from my sleep study hadn't been typed up yet because they're short-staffed. They said they would try to give me my results later on in the day. Again, get it together, UNM. The whole UNM system is a mess.
