I wasn't sure how much OT would help for a minor avulsion fracture in one of my fingers. But the pain and stiffness, especially in the morning, was brutal so I figured it was worth a shot. So glad I did! Mary is amazing, she carefully explained what the issues were, gave me exercises and tips, and just a few weeks in to OT, my hand feels so much better than it did for the previous three months. The staff is wonderful, very welcoming (and great music in the waiting room!) -- they have earned every one of these five stars, thanks so much!

The entire staff was wonderful. From housekeeping and food service I was always greeted with a smile and asked if there was anything I needed. The LNA 's were so attentive and personable especially Tobi. The nursing staff were top notch with their care and attention to my daily medical needs as well as my mental health. The duo from OT got me up and moving and prepared to go home. I can't say enough good things about my overall experience with Portsmouth Hospital.

The quality of care, expertise, and sensitivity to my emotions from all involved were extraordinary. The anesthesiologist during surgery was informative and listened to and addressed my problems. Of course Dr. Jones is an amazing surgeon. Follow-up calls also very thorough. I’m very impressed with Portsmouth Hospital surgical staff!

I've used Imaging services for several years and they have consistently been excellent and, if it is possible continued to get better - booking process is easy with multiple reminders, check-in is fast and timely, waiting room is comfortable and has continuously updated informational boards. And lastly, the services themselves are very kind and compassionate - and results fast. Thank you!!

Was sent here by another hospital and was supposed to be admitted to neuro upon arrival, spent 24 hours in the ED, was not admitted until midday the following day, they didn't finish my admission paperwork until halfway through night two. Not once did an ED nurse clean my IV port before forcing fluids through at lightning speed, most didn't even wash their hands much less out gives on, had to disconnect my own equipment to get to the bathroom. One nurse left bright me back from a scan, left the bedrails up and didn't give me my call light, I had to half climb out of the bed too reach the light but it didn't matter because they ignore them half the time anyways. Refused to answer any questions, I was there for a day and a half "admitted" before I was given a sip of water. Radiology lost my scans for 2 days. At times I feared for my safety being left alone with aggressive patients. I was literally transferred there because they thought I needed emergency brain surgery or I'd die and I was treated like abandoned hot garbage. I only received halfway ok care once they got me upstairs and out of the ED and I'm pretty sure they only did that because they heard me on the phone saying it's rather die in my own home than trapped in that squalor. Never again, I will bleed out on their sidewalk before I set foot in that emergency department again. I'm sitting here questioning if I have a staph infection at that iv site after their neglect and unclean practices. I was played off multiple times by a nurse upstairs when I expressed concerns about that iv site too. The only person who showed concern for me there was an lna that got pissed that the ED didn't give me a toothbrush. Least of my concerns if we're being real but thanks I guess.
