The Rio Rancho Sleep Center

This is the most awkward medical practice I think I've ever dealt with. On multiple occasions, I've had to leave voice messages at the number on their Google listing. Sometimes messages after-hours, sometimes messages because their staff is on another line during normal business hours. Not a single voicemail has ever been returned. EVER. When frustrations expressed to the office manager, I'm told no one checks the voice messages, and it's best to keep calling back. No; it's best to find a practice who's with the latest 30yr old technology and checks their voicemails. Most recently, I had to cancel an appointment due to a funeral in another state. I left a message 4 days in advance letting them know I had to reschedule, then shifted my attention to the plethora of other things one has to deal with when going to funerals; from dry cleaning, pet sitting, vehicle maintenance, lodging, and many other arrangements. The ball is in their court when I left a voicemail. Even the contact info on the letterhead is outdated, as my PCP tried calling and faxing multiple times to get my results, only to find out they don't check voicemails. I have to wonder if they even check their fax machine either! If you're not going to check voicemails, at least leave a greeting that says "You're wasting your breath and your time leaving us a voicemail; no body checks 'em! Have a nice day!"

Over the years the Rio Rancho Sleep Center has gone through several different owners. Under each ownership, the Sleep Center had different issues but NEVER as bad as the incompetence of the current staff. From the people scheduling the appointments to the providers and everyone in-between, I've never encountered such incompetence at one place. I've avoided going back there since 2022 and against my better judgement, I thought I'd go in to have my Inspire implant checked. It's been nothing short of a comedy of errors! Just AVOID going there for any reason! Go to ANY OTHER Sleep Center to avoid yourself unnecessary headaches, gas, time, and money! TRUST ME and others who have also left negative reviews!

I waited almost two months for a call back to no avail. Front office personnel failed to submit my prescription is totally unsatisfactory. It wasn’t until I complained to the main office in El Paso, TX that I got a call back by the office manager making excuses for their incompetence. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Hate that I have to give them a star to review, I can’t even share the issues because it’s so long google won’t allow it! BUT BE AWARE, THE WOMEN UP FRONT ARE NO GOOD AT THEIR JOB AND DISCLOSE HIPPA INFO AND SEND PRESCRIPTIONS TO WRONG DME COMPANIES, SUCH A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE LOCATION! Provider Miranda (I think that’s her name) is wonderful couldn't get to talk to her about these issues but the women up from are definitely ruining your reputation at this location hope the others aren’t like this

First let me say I'm a registered respiratory therapist who's been employed for 34 years in the field. My son was scheduled for a sleep study that was confirmed he saw the sleep doctor and then came back for the study. When we showed up the RT told him that his appointment had been canceled. Nobody called us ahead of time to tell us the point was canceled and he arranged his work schedule to accommodate the appointment. He was told that our insurance did not approve the study. I then called the following week to speak with somebody about it because our insurance said that they would approve a home sleep test first before they would do a observed diagnostic study. I left a message and still have yet to hear from them. Nobody answers their phone or returns messages. This is highly unprofessional and I can't say of another sleep center in Albuquerque that I think would do this. Maybe stay away from this small business and go to one of the big businesses that seem to know how to run their office correctly. Very, very disappointed. Now we're off to find a better sleep department that is run and managed professionally.
